History of the United Terran Federation. · 5:50am Jan 20th, 2014
One faction that will play a big role in my FoE fanfic, Ashes and Lost Memories will be the human nation; the United Terran Federation. However, while I'm working on it and to give a little back story to the United Terran Federation. Little note, to avoid spoilers, I will only talk about it's founded and not it's conflict with Equestria. Little note, many of these nations are based on real world nations so there will be some real world cities mentioned.
March 1, 1899-A confederation of powerful human nations led by the Empire of Britania sign The Terra Alliance Currency Establishment policy with each creating a trade agreement.
May 20th, 1904- with international militarism and imperialism on the rise, the nations who signed TACE, form the Entente Alliance to protect themselves from their enemies; particularly the Triple Powers led by the Belken Empire.
November 11th, 1914 to July 28 1918- The first great war occurs between the Entente Alliance led by Britania, the Republic of Romancia, and the Tiberian Empire; and the Triple Powers led by the Belken Empire. While they are at first neutral, the United States of Karelia joins the war in 1918 on the side of the alliance. The war ends with an allied victory.
February 14th, 1920- Treaty of Britanny is signed and the Belken Empire is forced to dissolve into a republic. To prevent future wars, the Entente Alliance forms the Terra Confederation. The United States of Karelia declines to join.
August 3rdth- the "Great Christmas Stock Market Crash" occurs. The human nations suffer an international economic recession.
July 26th 1933- a fascist dictator seizes power in the Belkan capital of Berlin and forms an alliance with the Empire of Oceania.
March 10th 1939- Belka invades and annexes it's neighbor, the Republic of Krysistan. the Terra Alliance declares war on Belka.
1939 to 1945- Great War Two occurs while the USK is at first neutral, in December 7th 1941, the Oceania Empire attacks the Karelian port at Pearl Harbor. The USK joins the war on the alliance side.
December 6th 1945- The first atomic bomb is dropped on Oceania's capital, Edo. Oceania and Belka surrender, GW2 comes to an end.
April 13th, 1947- The zebra tribes are united under the communist dictator Xeo Zenzeg forming the People's Republic of Zebra. To counter the communist military regime, the Terra Alliance nations politically merge together and unify under a single central government including Belka and Oceania. While the USK allies itself with the UTF, they refuse to join.
April 3rd 1950- the PRZ invades the nation of South Oessian. The USK and the UTF deploy troops to repel the attack. The PRZ are repelled but the USK and UTF suffer heavy causalities.
Octomber 15th, 1956- All of the human nations have merged with the UTF. Only the United States of Karelia remains independent.
1964-1974- The Zhouzheng War. When the pro-USK zebra tribe, the Zhouzheng declare their independence from the PRZ, the PRZ invades and the Karelian military is deployed to protect them. the war ends with the USK pulling out of Zhouzheng and the tribe being re-conquered by the PRZ. The United States of Karelia faces international humiliation for the failed ten year conflict.
May 24th, 1980- The USK, still humiliated from the Zhouzheng, is given one final option by the UTF, either the USK joins the UTF, or the UTF will stop trading with the USK, jeopordizing the economy of Karelia. In what is considered by many Karelians as the ultimate betrayal, USK president Gerald Ford gives into the UTF's demands. the United States of Karelia looses its sovereignty and becomes a province of the UTF. Now all the nations are united by the United Terran Federation; giving it a GDP and population greater than the PRZ and Equestria.

1739617 To a certain degree yes. Many of the nations mentioned are based on real world nations. Just out of curiosity, can you guess which real world nation the fictional countries are allegories of?
United Terran Federation is the name of my OC government in my story First Contact!
1752628 Well United Terran Federation is a common sci fi name for a unified Earth government.
It was the name of the unified Earth nations' government in the Robert Heinlein book Starship Troopers.
