Ups and Downs; an explanation of my behavior to come. · 9:49am Jan 4th, 2014
Life is weird. It can sometimes be simple, sometimes be complicated. It has it's ups and downs. I'm sometimes in an amazing mood and other times I just want the world to burn.
It's 2:36 as I type this sentence and I still don't feel remotely tired. Stupid insomnia.
My good friend's Mom unexpectedly died today. She (my friend) isn't taking it too well. I'll be here for her, but times are looking rough for her family right now.
My niece (who lives with me and my family) wakes up screaming in the middle of the night a few times every week. I sometimes manage to coerce her into telling me about her night terrors, and I'm the only one she'll tell about them (except my older brother, who moved to Canada last month). Last night, she told me about the man with the black eyes stabbing everyone in the house, and coming for her next. Pretty dark for a four-year-old girl, who hasn't watched anything darker than My Little Pony. I'm still trying to figure out what's going on with her.
I'm doing bad in school right now; second term is always the worst. That always has me in a bad mood.
Now, what was the point of telling you all this fairly personal stuff? Well, to sum it up, I'm taking a short break from writing. It won't be long - one or two weeks is all. But I need some time to settle down a bit. As I stated earlier, life has it's ups and downs. Right now, I'm feeling even more down than usual, and I feel like it might affect my writing in a negative way. You guys keep being an awesome, albeit silent fan group. I'll be back before you know it, I hope.
I'm buying a Wii U tomorrow. It should keep my mind off things for a little while while I waste away playing Wind Waker HD.

Hey, don't worry about the writing. Your real life comes first after all.
I know that feeling about second term. My school always makes things harder at this time too. Plus I have the pressure from my parents that I have to finish this year with excellent grades because it's my final year in this school.
About your niece, that's just wow... Hope she gets better.
Like you said, life has its ups and downs, don't worry, sooner or later it should be fine again.
