Frankly, I hope so. Remember when I promised a double length chapter? Weeellll it's getting sliiiiiiiightly out of hoof. Not that that's a bad thing, I think, but yeah. I've never written a single chapter this long.
And I hope to never to do so again! 
Heh, at least, not until the ending. 
This thing is a monster growing forever beyond my control. All I can do now is shield you from its horrors and hope that you can get away and seek help in time. 
In all seriousness though, it's looking to be between 10-11k words by the time I finish. I've been working on this for five hours a day for almost two weeks now, and I'm close to wrapping it up, but it's still just not quite there.
And then I need to convince my editor to go through it all, and then we fix the borked up bits, and there shall be much rejoicing. 
Look forwards to Adjacency: Chapter 6 soon, at a theater near you!

I'm finally satisfied with the chapter, which has clocked in at an incomprehensible 12,124 words in rough draft form.

I can't even begin to say how proud I am of that fact. I never thought I could write a chapter as long as the ones written by my idols here.
