    This isn't goodbye, but...

So, hi. This isn't goodbye, no. But... well, before that, I'll explain my absence for the people who are interested.

I kinda... sorta... um... lost interest in the show...

Deadpool Vs. Bronies update and Merry Rant-reviews.

    Hi. Uh.

I'll say it now. I don't really have any motivation.

I worked on the next chapter of Deadpool Vs. Bronies sometime on October, and then I just got bored. Technically, it's almost finished, I just don't know when I'll finish writing it.

...And now a more tempting idea...

Oh hi. Take a moment to let this sink into your head.

And just a little back-up link for convenience.

    Seen that? Alright, good.

Have you seen a fic where Nicolas Cage visited Equestria?

If you're into those sort of things, that's likely...

...So, I had this idea for a new fic... because I'm still trying to figure out what to do next on the next Recluse chapter (Which I have started, I'm just considering what to do), but I'll come up with something. Anyway, I only really have a basic idea of what this fic is about, but I kinda have an idea on where I'm going with it.

Well, I'm a bit sick again...

    Goddamnit.

The Recluse is probably not gonna be worked on until I'm feeling better.

Maybe I'll work on it a little, seeing how I took the time to write this, but...

Keep up that Latin Rhythm, guys.

In case the YouTube link doesn't work

See ya when I see ya.

Deadpool Vs. Bronies update and Merry Rant-reviews. · 5:48pm Dec 24th, 2013

Hi. Uh.

I'll say it now. I don't really have any motivation.

I worked on the next chapter of Deadpool Vs. Bronies sometime on October, and then I just got bored. Technically, it's almost finished, I just don't know when I'll finish writing it.

To be honest, I really do prefer reading as opposed to writing. Sure, writing seemed like a good idea at the time, but there are a lot of people with so many ideas better than mine that I can't help but read them and show my appreciation.

But, being a sort-of fan of comic book stuff, I'm going back to rant-reviews, as a little Christmas present, for anyone still interested. And today, it'll be on the newest episode of Season 4, Power Ponies.

...Huh... how about that... the colour selection updated. This makes life easier... heh.

Spoilers. Of course.

RANT-REVIEW BEGINS

The episode begins without any music for 10 seconds, which is... different, I suppose. Twilight's sleeping and Spike's reading comic books. Good for him. Twilight wakes up and inquires about the book, and he's all, "Humdrum and the Powerpuff Ponies have an evil nemesis, the Mane-iac. With tentacley green hair. So... a combination between Doctor Octopus and a mischievous Joker, as opposed to a mischievously murderous Joker. Cool.

Mane-iac gets her hair powers by falling into a vat of chemicals, changing the way she looks forever and making her hair go out of control. You can see some of those Red Hood/Joker origin resemblances, but when I saw that, I couldn't help but think, "Isn't that kind of like the origin story to that cat villain from that Cats and Dogs sequel? ...Hrm."

After the opening titles, as the (former) Element Bearers are working together to rebuild what used to be the Princess's castle, and Spike asks around to see if he can help anyone, and I realize, "Oh, god. It's a Spike episode."

Not that I have a problem with Spike episodes. I just didn't really expect much after 'Spike At Your Service.'

He's told that everyone's got it under control, and he starts to feel like Humdrum, the archetypal 'Cute and useless character for comic relief.' And as soon as he points this out, we're reminding that he is the 'Cute and useless character for comic relief,' even though it's been proven before that he's at least 'More than useless.'

And then, when he goes off to read the Power Ponies comic book, for some reason, the last page is blank except for pointlessly tiny writing that requires Spike to get a magnifying glass to read it. And that leaves me wondering... why did it have to be tiny writing? It could have easily been normal sized and it still would've been perplexing as it is now. Does anyone see a point in this? I don't.

He reads it aloud, and, in basic terms, it says he can't leave the book until Mane-iac, the villain in the book, is defeated. And the Mane Six arrive to his room just in time to find him being sucked into the Comic Book World, and everyone gets sucked in as well, trying to stop whoever's in front of them from entering (Except for Pinkie, she just waits till they get sucked in, not knowing what consequences may have befallen them, and happily hops in.)

Spike wakes up and finds Twilight and Da Gang are dressed like super-heroes, and not just any heroes, but the heroes from his comic book, of whom we never actually see. Apparently, nobody was curious as to what they looked like, and for all we know, the artist of the comic just ripped off the main characters' appearance and gave it to their comic book character. Which makes me think, what species was Humdrum? Was he a dog? Was he still a dragon? Was he a Dragon-Turned Dog? Or was he Spike all this time like how the Power Ponies were the Mane Six... all this time, again?

Oh, and when he looks at his friends' costumes, he doesn't even check to see if he has a costume. Alright.

All the Power Ponies are obviously based on established comic book super-heroes. Applejack appears to be a cross between Batman and Wonder Woman, seeing how she has a few projectiles to throw and she has a psychic lasso (Although, I don't think Wonder Woman's lasso was controlled with her mind). Rarity is like the Green Lantern. Twilight is... uh... a sorcerer of sorts, maybe Doctor Strange. Strange choice, but oh well.

Pinkie Pie is like The Flash, seeing how she moves fast, but her costume reminds me of Quicksilver. Eh. Rainbow Dash is either Storm from Marvel Comics or Captain Marvel/Shazam from DC Comics. Probably Storm, since she managed to form a tornado. And Fluttershy is... The Hulk. But, there's really nothing to make her angry. Just nervous and frightened.

And then Mane-iac appears, and it turns out that, true to classic comic book form, she's making puns of her mane. Admittedly, it's not as frequent as this...

Heh-hey, winter-themed video for Christmas Eve.

Everypony (Except Spike) attempts to defeat Mane-iac, but fail miserably. Applejack gets tangled in her own lasso, Twilight's freeze magic fires short-living snowflakes, Pinkie Pie's speed takes her out of the vicinity, Fluttershy can't get mad, Rainbow Dash causes previously mentioned tornado to appear, and it's up to Rarity to save the day. And by day, I mean, 'Useless Superheroes.' Besides, it's night time where they are.

But Missus J. reveals her Super Weapon... PERFUME... of doom.

But instead of casting the spell 'Doom on the entire party, it just makes their bones stiff and rendering them unable to move, and renders powers useless. Oddly specific, don't you think? But then, much later, after Spike mopes about after having the Perfume of Doom ignoring his non-super self, therefore reminding him of his near-uselessness and near-inability to save his friends, Mane-iac reveals to the Power Ponies her Super-Super Weapon... a hair-dryer that fires laser beams that ruin other people's hair, or somethin'.

Uh. ...Okay? I suppose we'll just go to a local barber, or something, after placing a bag on our heads to stop the monster attacking us. Besides, Pinkie Pie's hair is pretty wild already.

It seems the Perfume of Doom is short-lasting, as the super-freaks must be sprayed with it constantly. Thing is, if it stiffens them, why are they able to move their mouths and deliver motivational words with Spike in ear-shot that gives him the determination to do something good?

Oh yeah, that happens, and most of the minions that were, for some reason, hired by a Super-Villain, with enough power to take on inept superheroes, and also for some reason, are all collectively obsessed with fashion and dying their hair in fabulous colours? And... just about all of them are male.

This not only suggests that Super-Villains have enough respect to fear Super-Heroic wrath, or that there are a LOT of criminals obsessed with cleanliness, but that all males have a tendency to be the evil minions in these things.

Wow... thanks a lot.

But yeah. Spike saves the day, everyone (except content but nervous Fluttershy) give ass-kicking to all of the minions who haven't been already subdued. And by ass-kicking, I mean Super-Powered Ass-Kicking. And by Super-Powered Ass-Kicking, I mean Super-Powered Slap-Sticking. And Fluttershy starts to feel left out, so goes to leave the building, as, truth be told, everyone else is actually doing quite well on their own. But then Doctor Octagonapus attacks an insect getting in the way of her Pointless Cannon, Fluttershy notices this, rants about what the point in that was, and gets mad, because she doesn't want darned super-villainous lemons. After all, she's a super-hero, what in Tartarus is she supposed to do with these?

Pointless Cannon is destroyed by Flutter-Hulk after being fired at the train wreck of a super-villain, and her hair becomes a straight-jacket, but she keeps laughing. Well, that wasn't satisfying. And then it all ends. Everypony's all happy at Spike demonstrating he's more than useless, and when they leave the room, the comic book, which Spike had bought from 'an enchanted comic book store' disappears.

RANT-REVIEW ENDS

It was certainly an entertaining episode. But there's not much to say about it besides FLUTTER-HULK!

So... that was fun, hadn't done one of these in a while.

I wouldn't expect too much. Just know that the next chapter for Deadpool Vs. Bronies is... nearly finished. Just that I don't know when it's gonna be finished.

Aside from that... I have a new best pony. And it shall all be revealed in a new story that I -actually- started work on a few days ago.

It'll take a while though, so... yeah. I'll continue reading, maybe writing, and I'll see ya when I see ya. Bai.
