Argent Schild is my OC that shows up in many of my fanfictions. Argent is my go-to OC as he is, at least in some capacity, supposed to be me. As Marty-Stu as it is, I don't really feel ashamed writing myself as a character in any of my fanfictions, mature or not. I make sure Argent is no greater than I am and I attempt to keep parallels between us to a minimum because, although he is a character largely based off of me, he is still his own character and grows independently of my own life.
In "And Then There Were More," Argent wanders dangerously close to "ridiculously cliche OP character" as he becomes the seventh known Element of Harmony and the key to saving all of Equestria. I do my best to keep him away from that trope, as I am not a fan of it any more than I know several fanfiction readers are. The story, though, is about Argent discovering that he is greater than he thinks he is, so it is likely he will fill some of those worn-out, unoriginal character ruts before I hit 'The End' on that story.
I am no professional author, and Argent is not the perfect character, but I hope you will continue to read and enjoy my stories whether they have him in it or not. I welcome both compliments and criticism alike, so if you feel like you have some input, please give it!
