ok kids,heres the deal · 1:17am Dec 14th, 2013
i have a hard time getting myself to post my stories, most of that is anxiety as I've been out of the writing game for 20 years and im afraid i suck.
the other is the 3 stories ive started are going to be huge. my main being at 9k words edited and preread with assurances its at least passable but still i just can't get myself to do it.
i think that maybe if i can get a one shot prompt in my head without being allowed to overthink it or make it huge and be forced to post it via agreement it will get me over that hurdle.
so 3 people who read my blog if you can answer 2 questions with example ill write a one shot from your prompt that hopefully will not suck.
i have a daughter and my wife is pregnant with what is most likely to be a boy.
there names are Kairi and the boy will be Samuel Vimes, vimes being the middle name not surname whitch is important.
if you can tell me where the names are from and an example of specifically what from i shall do my best to write a good short story and put it up.
if youve read this far in thank you. its a stupid problem i have but your help would be appreciated hugely.
the ever chickening out.
Nightheart.
song of the day
fear factory. body hammer.
You can do it!!!
I'm afraid I can answer only half of your questions! I know that Kairi is a character from the amazing video game franchise, Kingdom Hearts. It's really a pretty name, so you've doing some good in the world by naming her Kairi.
Before I offer a prompt, I'll offer a tip that helps me get passed writer's block! First, find a ridiculously difficult prompt. Got one? Good. Now, complete it in under 300 words.
It's really fun, you end up with something hilarious, and it usually gets the creative juices flowing and gets me in the mood to write something.
As far as one-shot prompts, it depends on what you're looking for! I have a strangely specific request, though. Here's the prompt!
Write a RariShy shipfic in which Rarity and Fluttershy are both in love with each other, but don't know about the other's feelings. For added challenge, set the stage in the spa, and have one of them say the line, "Cabbage truly is a fickle thing, sometimes." Do your best to make it fit in with the plot. Good luck!
There it is! Just thought that one up. Have fun, if you decide to choose my prompt!
