Progress, Chaos and working in ambulatory care

Did you know that there exist people who start their workday at 7 AM and end it around 10? I didn't know that and I have no idea how I'm supposed to ensure that I get my 39 hour week worth of work. Yay, ambulatory care! Also, did you know that there exist heritary diseases that can spontaneously appear in your thirties and kill you in about fifteen years time? Yay, chorea huntington! And did you

    I'm Back

Okay, you're not getting a big blog post, mainly because it's 1:00 AM and I just wanna post something to tell you the obvious.

Apparently I haven't been doing anything pony in quite a lot of time, haven't even started the new season yet, but finally I've got time. That's aweshum, right?

    Ze Vorst Iz Ovah

Apparently I'm still alive, and only got like 5 or 6 weeks more worth of therapy. And then months upon months of drugged bliss. Because #yolo, or however you kids write that stuff.

So, since this story-tagging thing finally works I wanted to take a moment to every guy who's faved Lunarium, because I'm assuming you've read this thing by now, either that or you did it as a 'read later' option, forgot about it, won in the lottery and bought your own island on hawaii, happily forgetting the phase where you read still read horsewords.

Well, now that we have this tagging-thingy worked out I can annoy you however and whenever I want. EVERYBODY WINS!

But on a more serious note, it's been a while since Lunarium was finished, and two months past it actually had it's anniversary, as in, I started writing it back in october. Mind you, I wanted to do some huge blog post giving insight about the work process, how characters changed over development and how I went from disliking every word to writing a story ending I personally found satisfying and gratifying. I never did it, because, you know: Most people who faved Lunarium didn't follow me and wouldn't have gotten to read it anyway.

I might just do that blog when the story reaches it's "One year since finished" anniversary. Until then I need to get to revamp the first 12 chapters, since I wrote this with an apathy that might've just shown itself in a lack of care. When you write horse words, they need snuggling just as much as real life gurlfriend.

Not that any of us would know how a girl feels. . . Except maybe the girls. . . Maybe.

So, yeah, that's what I'm going to do later, right now I want to do something else: I want to thank you people.

Lunarium stands at a 89/7 quota, and while this doesn't really stand out amidst my stories, it is still something that originally completely baffled me. Sure, every downvote hurts, but I actually started off on a 7:1 like/dislike-ratio. I didn't expect that for something I started on a whim and so I wrote.

Lunarium wasn't a story that people got involved with, at least that's how I saw it. I would post a chapter, it would get a few views, maybe another thumb up, sometimes another fave, hardly any comments. Most of the time I simply wrote because, quite frankly, it was nice. Writing a story as emotional as Lunarium was an awesome experience and an actual first for me.

At chapter 15 some guy posted something:

the last line would have been my reaction too

Dude's name is The Parasprite, and at that point I didn't think much of it, however he would later invite me into a chat full of awesome writers (all better than me, though that's not too hard) and by this point I consider him and this barely SFW group as the pinnacle of fun in my online life.

Plus, para's an amazing writer. Go check his stuff out if you haven't.

Other people wrote their stuff, too, to this story, when an update gave them enough reason to say something.

DarkBunny91's interpretation of the ending, or some simple message by YukeNavyPilot and suddenly I felt like this story actually had a point, a purpose.

I disliked writing it, but it was the readers who enriched this experience of writing it to the point where it became the best thing during the winter of 2012/2013 for me. I guess, in a way, that doesn't mean much. But let me get sentimental here for a minute longer: I want to thank you.

Each and every person who read Lunarium, for making it such a wonderful experience writing for you all. Each and every comment, fave and like, heck, even the dislikes. It helped me get some confidence in my writing and hopefully made and will make me a better writer in the future. I hope that, when I start the sequel for good, you'll be along for the ride, but until then you have nothing but my sincere gratitude to read through 96.600 words of horrible grammar, spelling and the story of a little brown filly who brought magic back to the world.

Might not be perfect, but an epic journey is not made by flawlessly conquering every little problem, but by fighting past struggle and learning from your mistakes, Possibly getting an editor :scootangel: but if you continue to pump out great stuff, I will continue to read! :ajsmug:
