Rewrites pending

So, none of you will know this, but a few of you will care, and anyone new to the stories will see this.

I've just gone through my stories and added a rewrite pending tag in the description of those I felt deserved a rewrite. These stories are' Twilight's Rainbow (which will probably be the first or second to be rewritten, since I need to prepare for the sequel I'm planning), Don't Give Up (because let's face it, that thing just sucks, but will probably be the one I turn to last) and finally What Makes us Special, because that thing is terrible and, quite frankly, I'm rather ashamed of its current state.

Now then, what exactly does rewriting entail? Well, I'll be writing the entire thing, chapter by chapter, from scratch. New dialogue, new descriptions, new everything. The only thing that will stay will be the very basic skeletal plot, and even that will go through some massive changes.

Before I continue, my two incomplete stories will still take precedence, and I am done the next chapter for Under Our Wing, I just need to go through and edit it, but it'll be released in a few hours.

Basically, I'll pick one (probably What Makes us Special, because I have been promising a rewrite of that for a while and I quite enjoy writing stories like that) and go through, one chapter at a time, and rewrite it. Now then, because I'm making very, very large changes, to both plot and structure, the other chapters will be taken down. Each edited chapter will be a brand new one, so people trcking the stories will get an update, and they will also have an edited tag with them. At the most basic level, the plot will stay the same, but everything will be completely redone.

These edits will be practice for both editing and writing later on, since there are some scenes in Under Our Wing I want to get as close to perfection as possible, and my writing is not there yet.

Now then, as for the effect this will have on my schedule, I don't know. I'll try my best to keep it steady with one per week, but with a third story to juggle, it's very realistic that I'll slip up occasionally, especially if I hit the same type of block I did a few months ago.

However, like I said, Of Sky and Snow and Under Our Wing are still my top priority, so you'll probably only see a rewritten chapter once or twice a month depending on the time the other two are taking up. But, based on the response I get to the rewrites, this may speed up if people seem to be enjoying them. But, for at least half of December (when winter break starts) the rewrite status will remain at pending.
