Story Idea 07: The Brother and the Unknown Intruder · 6:13am Nov 27th, 2013
This is for story ideas anyone can use and modify however they wish, just be creative and thoughtful I guess.
Comedic idea this time and very Apple family-based. Bit short, but stories would be a one-shot I bet.
General premise is Big Mac has just brought home a mare. Before he had never shown any real outward interest in anypony (besides when drugged). Now he's back in the house with some mare Applejack and Apple Bloom do not recognize. Might think their first reaction would be happiness or "Finally..." or such. They might have thought that themselves possibly. Nope. Instead, its all suspicion and paranoia and possessiveness toward their brother. The two sisters may try separately to interrogate info out of the mare on herself and her intentions and to sabotage whatever they believed is going on between the two of them, but will quickly realize their shared goal and team up for 'well-intentioned' sisterly interference. Hijinks ensue. A LOT. I think you can see where to go with this.
The mare could be anypony (as long as not a regular background Ponyville citizen, unless have a specific idea) and she could be crushing on Mac hard or completely oblivious to the implied relation of showing up together. Mac similarly could be oblivious or crushing, whatever combination works for what you think up. I might also recommend Fleetfoot, member of the Wonderbolts, who canonly crushes on Mac, adding a potential worry of why someone famous is here to "steal Mac away".
