[status report] Sweet Nothings chapter 6 is coming

Albeit slowly.

I've had some various writer's block and motivational issues working on this chapter, not to mention taking the time to step back, look at the greater story plan, and decide to gut about 100k words worth of what I'd had planned, but I'm finally starting to get some traction going. I'd like to get the chapter up before December, but I can't promise anything.

The original plan for the story had me looking at about 24-25 chapters in total, and had huge gaping holes for pretty much the entire second half where I had some vague ideas about what was supposed to happen, but nothing really fleshed out. And considering how slow I am at writing, it was looking like I might never finish it. So with some help from my friend and editor, Integral Archer, I managed to cut the plan down to about 15-16 chapters. We had to cut a few characters and scenes that I was quite partial to, but most of that had been first planned when I had a much more naive idea for the story, before I really had a handle on what it was really about. And once I'd figured that part out, I never actually stopped to ask myself if I shouldn't cut some things.

So now that I've revamped the plan, I've got a much more focused plot that sticks to what this story is really about, without cluttering it with unnecessary characters and plot threads. The chapters I've already published will remain unchanged, though I will be going back to cut out the footnotes/levelup perks at the end of each chapter, as they no longer fit with the overall story plan. But I'll do that when I finish chapter 6.
