I see no problem with lavender unicorn syndrome. Or maybe I'm missing something.

Me either, honestly, I just think it would be incredibly funny to have Twilight say "Thank you orange earth pony." or something similar in dialogue. That's the one place it definitely doesn't belong
I may be a teeny bit sleep deprived right now but on the bright side Sharing the Night Ch. 4 is entering editing with about 10500 words. My editing process is as follows: Read the chapter and make any necessary changes. Read the chapter again and make any necessary changes. Read the chapter on my kindle and make any necessary changes. Upload to FimFiction.net, read the chapter and make any necessary changes.
I'm dead serious.
im not quite following on what you're talking about

"Lavender Unicorn Syndrome" is some people's derogatory term for the necessity to use creative terms in prose to refer to characters as an intermediate option between the repetitiveness of using names constantly and the vagueness of using regular pronouns like "she". I suppose the complaint is that constantly referring to Twilight as a "Lavender Unicorn" gets just as repetitive if that's all you use.
No matter what your opinion on the matter though, terms like "lavender unicorn" have no place in dialogue because the characters themselves would never use those words.

ah, thanks for explaining, i guess it would be pretty funny to use that in a dialogue, maybe have pinkie say something in a 'forth-wall' comedy would work!
It would depend on who uses it. If Twilight used it, for example, I would notice immediately. But if Derpy said it, I might not.
71317 I am constantly sleep deprived because I will start reading fanfics and not want to stop. You are part of the problem! Awesome editing process btw.
