So... I thought I was going to be waiting on Pokémon X/Y, because I've reached that age where I have enough money to play all the games I want, but not the time...
Then yesterday while going through the mall after ordering Zephie's new glasses, he buys me Pokémon Y and himself Pokémon X. =^_^= Turned out more than half our gaming group had gotten it, too, so we spent most of the night playing that instead of D&D.
I had a plan, though. A daring plan. One which had been done before, but not really successfully by me. I was going to get all the starters by trading to Zephie's cartridge and resetting mine over and over.
Then I heard from another of the group, who'd been playing more or less continuously since that morning, that the Generation 1 starters (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle) were available shortly after beating the first gym.
Needless to say, I couldn't let it go at that.
So my playing of Pokémon over the past two days has consisted of playing and replaying the same events over and over, trading with Zephon to preserve all the unique ones I'm getting, as well as a "Team Insecticide" consisting of a Flying-type and a Fire-type that are fairly easy to get just outside the first (Bug-type) gym. How conveeeenient. :3 Right now I'm on my last runthrough, just got my Squirtle and am about to trade and reset for the last time.
Then I'll have to catch a whole mess of level 2 and 3 common Pokémon to trade away to Zephie for the ones I've saved up so far. =^_^=
... I think I need to get me a 3DS.
And Y, I think. Just about everybody else I know has X.
