Time to sharpen the ol' resume... · 8:09pm Apr 25th, 2014
So when my boss's boss asked me to come to an unscheduled meeting in a few minutes, in a conference room near the front door, I saw the writing on the wall and prudently emailed myself a zipped up copy of the notes I'd been taking for the past year.
Turns out that after having decided I was a good fit for the company after a three month contract period, then nine months more as full time, suddenly I'm "not a good fit" because apparently I "don't take enough initiative in problem-solving".
Fortunately, they let me return to my desk to pack my own stuff, overseen by someone to make sure I didn't try to log in and sabotage anything (as if), which gave me a chance to say goodbye to coworkers turned friends in that time.
Even more fortunately, I'm allowed to return to the premises to continue our Tuesday Pathfinder group (though we may just find another venue for it since at this point exactly half of the participants are actual employees).
I don't want to link to my LinkedIn profile from this site, but if you know my real name you can find it.
Well... SHIT! That sucks, foxie... anything I can do to help? Need me to look around?

Don't think there's much you can do, but if you somehow hear word of a software position in our area, let me know.

I'll see what I can do, honeybunch... I'm on Steam if you need to talk...

Actually I've already made notes to myself to get cracking on the job hunt (and apply for unemployment) Monday morning, bright and early. For now... I'm going to finish filling out spell index cards for the Tuesday campaign. I may no longer be employed where I was, but I'm certainly not persona non grata there (they used those exact words), so neither is Anserris Lucida, level 1 kitsune sorcerer. >:3
(Yes, the Pathfinder Advanced Race Guide has kitsune.)
I am very sad to hear this. I wish I had anything useful to say, or any leads to offer. I'm sorry this happened.

Thank you, anyway. *hugs*
