A Reminder to Myself When Writing A Clopfic... · 2:22am Oct 4th, 2013
There needs to be clop within the first 500 words, otherwise new readers will hate the material.
I forgot that writing clop was to write something for horny 15 year-old teenagers to masturbate to right away. No longer are we allowed to write some story behind the pairing the in the first place, nor can it be with a canon character and an OC. My bad FiMFiction.

It's more of a Sturgeon's Law thing (a.k.a. "90% of everything is crap"). Most fics featuring an OC having sex with a canon character have been done... poorly, to say the least. A lot of people don't even bother to read stuff when browsing and just upvote or downvote based on pairing/description. It's stupid.
