I'm Back In It · 7:52am Sep 24th, 2013
Hey, everyone. I know it's been forever since I've done anything here. I partly blame my gaming habits, but I mainly blame my recent disinterest in writing. It happened right after Bronycon when I saw that writers weren't very much recognized and that most of the time they were ridiculed. I felt ashamed...as if what I was doing would put me in a bad light. However, I soon realized that assumption is false and that writers can be extremely talented and contribute greatly to the My Little Pony community. I know I would never be able to write music or animate something incredible no matter how much of a chance I gave it. So writing is really my only outlet for creativity and to be honest I don't really feel that creative when every idea has already been used over and over.
It was at first a lame attempt to become better known in the community, but now I just want to write for fun. Even if what I write is absolutely insane and convoluted...I just want to put what I can out there and see how readers take it. Whether it gets smooshed into obscurity or bashed to death, I want to thank the MLP fandom for making my life that much more interesting and finally giving me an outlet to contribute something tangible to the world...even if its just a silly fan fiction.
With that said...Chapter 6 is done...and Chapter 7 is on its way. It'll be posted soon.

Now that's the spirit!
Besides, you only met folks who went to Bronycon. One of my friends and I are fans of your work and we live all the way in Russia (I doubt we'd have known anything about you if not for your stories).
About authors and fanfiction-well, it's often ridiculed. As a matter of fact, it is hard to find people who accept fanfiction as a literature genre outside of sites such as FiM fiction. In my humble opinion, that's bullshit. I've read classics bearing much less sense and lesser morals than some of the stories I've read on this site. I am not going to lie-you are no classic. But you're not HiE daydreamer, either.
Then there are all people who read, commented, followed, rated your stories. Tamed has 3274, 246 likes, 20 dislikes and 228 comments. It's not famous, but neither are you un-recognized.
Another bit that I'd like to toss out here is a fact that you only have so many followers. That's actually a GOOD thing. These are people who are genuinly interested in your stories and want to see what else you've got, while some authors have thousands of fans who instantly fave and upvote whatever crap these 'writers" upload without even reading. Who's more appreciative-that's for you to decide.
Oh, and today sucked. I had most boring lectures ever and I used this time to re-read Tamed. Trust me, you've made my life MUCH brighter.
tl;dr - you're awesome regardless of your goals and accomplishments. We like your stories for what they are; not for what we expected of them.
