That's where I live now. Got a 1 1/2 hour commute to work (GOT to get me a tag for the toll roads!) and a 40-hour/week job. But the pay is awesome and the job's not all that difficult - yet. Too bad I'm gonna be spending all that time working and not writing. Well, yeah, I'll be writing, just not on my stories.
As I don't want to impose on my cousin and her husband for too long, my first order of business is to find a good apartment, preferably closer to the city so I don't spend half my wages in gas/toll fees. After that I need a new vehicle, 'cause though I love my car (which I named "Old Faithful" back when it was still young), she's running on 14 years old now and there's no telling when she's gonna kick the bucket. If I had my way I'd be getting a DeLorean, but to save money I'll probably go after something a little cheaper for my first independent vehicular purchase. Too bad.
Despite spending a lot of my time working or pretending to be social for my cousins, I haven't stopped writing! The next TvE should be out this weekend. No Heroes will be wrapping up soon, so I'll be starting on my Lightning Dust story before too long. I'm slowing down, but you all won't be rid of me that easily.
As soon as I get my first paycheck, I'm gonna start looking into commissioning original art for my stories. I'm something of an art snob, though; if any of you know seriously good artists to recommend, do let me know and I may add him/her/it to my list of potential commission targets!
