alright, I really really want to write
but I don't know what
every time I sit down to write something, I go back a chapter to reread so that I can start where I left off... but by the time I finish reading I don't want to write. At all. My only solution is to start something new, but all of my recent ideas got away from me. I can't remember a single damn one of them.
I'll probably regret it, but I'm asking for ideas. Nothing specific in any way, you know how I like to write. Just a general idea, something that would be considered a short description at the most.
I will not write clop, HiE or anything that isn't serious- things like comedy fics or something so full of silly it's stupid.

Also, just being honest, I wouldn't expect much in the lines of credit other than a 'thanks to blahblahblah for the core idea' in an author note if one of you gives me a good one. The main reason for this is because chances are I'll see your ideas, merge them together and then come up with my own version. It's just a very general idea, though, so credit shouldn't be a problem.

The only idea I have, and this is very rough I know, would be some kind of story with a Windigo as the main character. I don't know why, I just for some reason want someone to write a story with a Windigo that isn't part of a large fan-continuum that I don't care to read.
1300354 I've actually been throwing that idea around a bit, the only problem with that though is I don't see it going very far- as in I have no idea where I'd go with it. If you haven't noticed, I'm not exactly the best with keeping stories alive after I've lost the drive for it and lack of ideas to write for a particular story is the main cause of said loss of drive.

I would suggest reading a few of the more original stories around and basing an idea off the concept of some of them.
how about a dark romance twilestia with evil Celestia capturing twilight when the elements try to stop her why Celestia goes evil and how twilight winds up falling for her even though she's evil would be up to you
Could you make a crossover/comedy with the cutie mark crusaders and some chocobo's?

The idea I have for a fic is based on the issue 4 of the MLP comic. When Chrysalis offers to release the CMC and the rest of the mane 6, with the condition of Twilight staying with her and teaching her the destructive magic. At the begining Twi acepts the offer, even, she told the girls that they must stop Chrysalis and fight her if necesary. The idea is to explore the posibility of Chrysalis leting the mane 6 go, and corrupt Twi so they can take over equestria...Sorry for my bad english
The only idea I have is just Pinkie being match maker and laughing a whole bunch. And maybe getting her special somepony in the process

So, bat-ponies are now an extra race, lived in mountains and stood guard for luna. What happened to them when she became nightmare moon? Were they captured, locked away, or did they abandon Celestia for banishing their princess? Think going into that might make a cool story.

One of the soldiers that survived Nightmare Moon's uprising is mourning the loss of everybody he knew at the edge of Canterlot. Has sad discussion with an equally sad Celestia. When she leaves, so does he. But he goes down.
This is actually a story I've thought about attempting. If you want more details, the soldier would be sitting at the edge of a waterfall in Canterlot, which was only recently re-named the capital. (Everfree forest, old castle and all that shiz) After the dark conversation about him questioning why he was the one that lived, and why he should continue if he has nobody left, he decides to go for a swim. In the waterfall. He doesn't come back.

What if you did something along the lines of a cross and arrow type story. Some pony is pushed through the barrier holding the two worlds apart by discord. ( And as it happens the exact same thing happens to here counter part.) as the pony looks for a way home she affect the ponies in the new universe and the ones in the old universe are trying their hardest to get her back. As the story starts you have it so she Barely remember any thing and her memory comes back as the story continues. As the two sides try to get back to we're they belong they might just get what their asking for plus a lot more. (Like their worlds crashing together)

Going off of the comic series, I'd love to see a Nightmare Rarity fic. Maybe have a story from Rarity's view, or make an Alternate Universe where Nightmare Rarity defeats Ponyville, and now the mane 6 hide out in the shadows hoping to find a way to beat her, save ponyville, and return the Rarity to them without Nightmare's corruption.

1300719 well i've only read volume 1 of the comic, i think it was 1, and I don't really plan to read the rest so I wouldn't base it off of something like that, plus using her being taught as leverage is just kind of meh to me. I've just been meaning to write a changeling focused story for a while and I've been slowly coming up with this bit, you just kind of refreshed the idea in my mind. I dunno, it may or may not happen
1300751 as stated above, i'm not basing something off of the comics. I also don't really like the idea of nightmarizing any of the 6 or anyone else besides Luna, minus a few select epic DA pics of course.
Well here's the top five I can think of at the moment. PM me if you'd like some more details on them or what not.
1) Orgins of where the Everfree Forest gets its magic from.
2) Humanized bad ass/hit-man Big Mac (windigos could be rival hit company)
3) Sotry of Zecora's travels before settling in Ponyville
4) Humanized Mane 6 as a gang (1920-ish classic gangster style)
5) Nightmare Moon's perspective of the final battle with Celestial before banishment
PS try to avoid things like zombies and school fics, they're rather hard to make a good original one. Also same with Vampires, and yes I know that's a good chunk of you're stories but try something new.
