Brothers and sisters... After a week long hiatus, I have regained my powers. I am refit, I am rekindled of writing and reading prowess. And I'm now stronger and wiser than ever.
But I feel I should give you all more context, as a reckoning came upon me. Many reckonings, actually. Two days before my glorious return, I stumbled upon several of my old works; projects I thought lost forever. Some finished, some not. All of them complete crap, mind you, but they exist. I read them... and that's when it hit me like a hammer to the skull; I used to write a lot. A lot... A. Lot. I glimpsed the date I wrote these atrocities, and it became all the more clear.
As some of you may know, I write a lot of short stories. And honestly, it was never my thing to begin with. In fact, I was more inclined to multi-chapter epics in my younger, more inexperienced days. But as I look at my accomplishments on Fimfiction, as I sigh long and low at the '1,500' word-count vs. the old '12,000' word-count I cranked out, I've come to learn why I write so many oneshots.
Time. I have virtually none of it. And I realized, with a 15 story count and an update deficiency, that I will have many, many, many more oneshots. I realize now, that multi-chapter stories are close to impossible to crank out as I used to. God dammit, I could wake up in the morning and have 3,000 words yarfed up, edited, AND revised before bed. Those days are over. Why? Well there's this little cocksucker called Life that has a personal vendetta to slap us and laugh about it... Maybe you've heard of the bitch.
Digressing, I feel it is my duty to inform all who read this and have graciously stayed with me over the months; I'm a slow writer. Most, if not all, of my work will be posted weekly (at the very least). This includes multi-chapter fics. I'm sure many of you were hoping for quick updates on 'For The Better'. But my crushing honesty compels me to tell you otherwise; it's not going to happen. It will take time, and I know I'll lose readers because of it. Ehhhh... I swear, sometimes I think I'm the most patient SOB on this site.
But rejoice, my friends, for I bring possible updates, and future oneshots that have turned and churned within. BEHOLD!!!!

Now then, before I leave you guys and gals, understand that I may be a slow writer these day, but when I'm not on break, I write everyday. Every. Single. Day. It can be 100 words. Hell, it can be 50 words. But I still write. It's funny, really. 50 words is a whole paragraph by default. So when I have those 50-word days, and I SOMEHOW crank out another 50 on the same day, I'm all like 'Nice F**KIN' job, Chris!' And then I'm all 'Thanks, Chris!'
Anyway, with a tent to my eyes, and a little more grey in my hair...

Okay, fine. Yes, I've taken your advice and joined this site. I gotta say, I think I did okay with my first fic (Though I'm not sure what ratio counts as 'good') It seems we both suffer the same problem, as far as time and Life (the bitch) is concerned. But we will fight, and we shall carry on.

Do not fear my friend for I know you're pain very, very well. I too cannot fathom creating chapter stories and alone can only fathom one-shots. It seems to be all or nothing with me and if I even attempt writing a story it just never finishes. I think I accomplished one in my life time but that was about it and it was only five chapter's long and rather cramped up together.
However I can see you are also a fan of the brilliant chaos that Discord bestow's upon us every day. For that I say: Hallelujah.
I have also heard that on my forum, you have possibly taken the chance to challenge a one-shot fic of the non-existent ship of AppleCord. To this I can only pray it can happen. As I have grown tired of needing to write my own work so much and I can only please myself for so many years.
However since you are a Discord Lover like moi, I shall attend to watch you good sir. I cannot wait for the chaos~
