As you may know if you've been following me for some time, this is my second time posting Mare of the Mountains. This may not come as a surprise, but I am still not happy with it. I recently solicited a review that really opened my eyes. You can check it out here.
Perhaps I'm being too influenced by other people's opinions, but I honestly think that Mare of the Mountains needs some major rehauling. As such, I revoking the story's submission to this site and rethinking my strategy. I would like to thank all of you for your help, and I hope to see you on the third iteration of Mare of the Mountains.
Note that this is not a resignation of any kind from the site, and I am still available. I might even put up other stories in the meantime, and I will still be available in all other areas as well.

Don't give up posey you have wonderful skills, let every experience, good or bad, get you closer and closer to your goals.
Huh, that review was informative. Looking back some of that seems pretty obvious too, and it makes me feel like I didn't do my job (which is the truth apparently). You can definitely find a better editor out there, but I'd really appreciate the chance to try again in the future.
And if nothing else that review gave me a few things to think about as well, so thank you for sharing.
If that's what you feel needs to be done then go forth with conviction, brave writer!
Wow, I want to submit my own first chapter just to have it torn to bits by that guy. He's thorough.
Can't say I really disagree about him on characterization though. I guess I like dumb-as-a-post and ambiguous characters far more than he does. But such is the nature of reviews being based on personal opinion.
Remember, Posey, any one viewpoint isn't necessarily correct, no matter the length or how well elucidated it is. Even mine, despite my grand awesomeness. Consider, reflect, take to heart, but don't just accept things verbatim.
