Hello.

Four months. Four months have passed since I've last made one of these darn blog things. Two months have passed since I've updated Chronicles.

So why the long wait?

Why all the silence in the darkness?

Why haven't I said anything?

It's because. It's just because.

No seriously, that's the best answer I can give you people. It's just because that I waited so long to finally start writing on my two-year-old story and it's just because that I've completely ignored any major activity on the website and it's just because I haven't gotten ANYTHING done in the past four months. It's just because. It's because I was being lazy and I was tired and I was procrastinating and I had little to no time to write and it's all my fault.

*sigh*

So here's the low down on the showdown:

- I am 80% done the final part of chapter 7. I need to fill in a gap of writing (because I wrote the beginning of the part, then the end and now I have to fill the space without it being too quickly paced), then edit the piece (which might take a while considering how unsatisfying some of it feels) and then it will be complete. How many words do I have so far? About 6 800. I estimate that by the time I'm done I will have over 7 000 words. Now while that's not as much as many other stories out there, to me, it's a new milestone. It's proof of just how much work and though and process I put into my writing as a whole now compared to how I did it a year ago. A year ago, I wrote one-thousand word segments and posted them weekly, like some sort of blog. Now, I take multiple weeks to write meaty segments that I hope you readers will get to chew on for a good five to ten minutes. I try my best to keep the pacing even with all the description I have to put in and all the emotion and thoughts that the characters express and keep everything a good length.

- Do I have a plan for chapter 8: Yes I do. How long is it going to be? I'm estimating about 4-6 parts long, assuming that I don't write more than I have to, which is always one of my main goals when writing, but sometimes I write more than I thought I was going to write and a chapter ends up much longer than I thought in the first place, forcing me to split it into two parts. So yes, It's going to be a shorter chapter, but we're reaching the final stretch of the plot, so after this chapter there will be three left. Chapters 8, 9 and 10. What's in store for those chapters? You'll just have to wait and see.

Oh, and one more thing?

I'm sorry. I'm deeply sorry for making people wait and keeping you guys without an update. Hopefully this next part will make it up to you.
