Remember me? · 9:32pm Jun 7th, 2013
Yeah, I realize I've been a little quiet lately. But that's because I've had a loooooot on my plate lately. I recently graduated from high school, and, as valedictorian of my graduating class, I had to give a speech in front of hundreds of people.
If that wasn't the most terrifying moment of my life, I don't know what was.
Anyways, people seemed to like it a lot, which made me feel loads better. The inner conflict between the love I share for my classmates and the hate I have for public speaking meant that I spent a ton of free time writing and revising this speech. I learned a lot through the process, and in the end, I think it was a good thing for me to experience.
This past week, I've been staying out at the beach with my friends. While seemingly 90% of people just drank their asses off and wound up puking in their tents, my friends and I had a blast playing cornhole, euchre, and hearts (fucking queen of spades).
So now comes the time for goodbyes. With the end of this "last hurrah", my high school years are wrapping up, and with it, so are some of the relationships I've formed over the years. While I probably won't really miss some of these people all that much, there are those coming goodbyes that will really hurt. In fact, one of my absolute best friends leaves for Georgia next week Friday, and I probably won't see him for a really long time. Which, while it hurts, is going to make seeing him again an event to wait for.
I guess it's all just a part of growing up.
Now, back to writing pony stories instead of speeches.
See you soon,
TSB
TSB is back?
FUCK YEAH!
Also, I need to get you on skype, add me: MrBond002
Good to see you back !
Congrats on the speech/graduation! I was wondering what happened to you.
Don't take this the wrong way, but with the sheer quality of The Things We Leave Behind, I was sure you were older. At least like 23. All the more congratulations!
Dude, which college are you going to?
Oh, that's cool! I just went to a graduation ceremony. Congrats on... everything.
I'm glad you had such an amazing end-of-school. It's just another step in life, and although your friends are going to be farther apart, it doesn't mean that you'll be leaving each other behind! Congrats, dude, we're all happy for ya :)
