Fan Art: Upon Wings of Sacrifice · 9:41pm Jun 6th, 2013

So I've been working with this artist and friend, James Corck, on a comic for some times. It turned out that every 100 dollars you give him in commission work he draws you a free art work as long as it only has two characters and is simple. For awhile, I didn't know what to draw, but then I decided to give my Upon Wings of Sacrifice fans something. I decided to give them a fan art of the iconic funeral scene from Chapter 3 since a lot of people liked that part. I plan on using more of the free art commissions to make other scenes from other fanfics, but I'll get to that another time.

To visit James Corck's Deviant Art click here: Link

To visit his Livestream (Usually around Tuesday to Fridays at 10AM Eastern to 6PM Eastern): Link

Once again, thanks to James for his art work

Holy balls. THAT is amazing.

Amazing art for an amazing scene....

~Skeeter The Lurker

Wow! That is totally amazing! James truly captured the emotion of the scene perfectly!:ajsmug::twilightsmile:

Weirdly enough, this is one of my fave scenes from your fic in general, and from Chapter 3, in particular. It ripped my heart out (to the point that my sis and bro-in-law kept asking me why I was crying), and this pic has more than done it justice.:fluttercry::applecry:

Just a quick question, but....are you (or would you) consider inserting this pic (and possibly others, as appropriate) in the right places in your chapters? That would be just sooooo cool, but if you didn't, that's cool. The fic is pretty cool all by its lonesome, even without illustrations.:raritywink:

I kind of don't like doing that in my stories unless really needed

1129111Oh,okay. That's cool.:raritywink:

I know some authors don't like art (or illustrations; whichever term floats your boat:raritywink:) in their fics, so I totally understand your stance on it. That's your (and their) right, after all.

By the way, I just got done reading your and James's Tumblr comic, Old Appaloosa, and I absolutely  it! Didn't expect the twist in the last couple of pages, but that's what I like about comics, whether done by fans (like you and James) or proffessionals (like Andy Price or Kevin Eastman (one of the original co-creators of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). Very well done, indeed.

:rainbowlaugh:I just bet Slick didn't expect AJ to walk into that saloon alive, did he? Well, he should've known that she'd take the theft of her hat pretty badly.

Gah, but I wish I had a Tumblr sometimes, but I've got no way to put anything art-related one, even if I had one! (Comp's on the fritz, and my All-in-One scanner/printer that I normally use is still sitting in storage about a 4 hour drive south of where I'm at now.:applecry::fluttercry::applecry:)

You know, the more I see of these MLP fancomics, the more inspired that I get. I'm gonna hafta get offa my lazy tush, and get rolling on one of my own!
