Germs. Humans have THREE POUNDS OF BACTERIA in their intestines. We are absolutely filthy in terms of bacteria. Most are harmless or helpful... to us.
But what about ponies in their alternate universe/other planet/distant future? Our common cold could be their black death... or vise versa. Any human that goes 150+ years through time in either direction will both carry/be exposed to illnesses that the other people have not been exposed to. Then you have a whole 'War of the Worlds' scenario in which the air is almost guaranteed a death sentence to the alien.
Or you could have fungus spores on you that infect all of the crops and creates a famine.....
Who ever said Equestria has the same atmosphere? Gravity? Rate of time passage? Laws of physics? Even a tiny change in the latter will kill you.
And then, if that doesn't kill you, the slapstick comedy will...
You know, maybe this is another reason why Luna got reverted back to a younger age, or whatever the heck it was, when she got de-nightmared. It was to allow her body to more easily adapt to the changes.
As absolutely true as all of this is, who's gonna let a little thing like 'reality' or 'science' get in the way of their dreaming?
Also, when's the next chapter of BKRQ coming out, if you don't mind my asking?
