Every now and then I get an idea for a new story, but I feel like I've gotta just wait until I finish what I'm working on. This has been happening for a large chunk of An Apple a Day's existence, and I'm wondering if I should work on some of these other ideas.
No, I wouldn't stop An Apple a Day because of this, I'd just try and get some more content out there. I won't shy down from admitting that the story has gotten me much more attention than I expected to get, and I do enjoy writing it. However sometimes I just like get stumped on where to go in the story on my way from point A to point B. Of course I've got some events in mind that I've got set in stone, but most of the story I literally just come up with as I go along. I've considered putting it on hiatus for a while so I can recollect my thoughts* and get back to it when I have a full train of events basically showing what I want to do.
I'm not putting anything on the 4 of you that read this, I'm just putting it out there to ease that part of my mind.

Holy fuck, you said four people, and I'm the fourth person to see this....
Are... Are you a wizard?

1125248 Seriously, though, you're pretty damn good as an author. You should be getting more fame for what you write. Iffin' you like, I'd give you a shout out when I finish up with my next chapter for my most popular story.
