Magic Sequel Announcement · 1:36am May 31st, 2013
Heya folks!
Figured it's about time I started using this thing, since plenty of readers have shown a large interest in "Magic in the Stars", specifically in the possibility of a sequel. Well, some good new, I have a sequel planned out, and as of yesterday have started writing!
So, may I present to my readers, the continuing story of Princess Luna and her student and love, Starfall: "Shadows in the Past"!
I don't want to give too much away about it as of yet, but to lay down some bare facts, it is set 3 or 4 months after the events of "Magic in the Stars", and roughly a fortnight after the Season 3 premier, "The Crystal Empire". Most of the events that have occurred in Season 3 are still yet to pass, however, so all episodes including and after "Magic Duel" will have little to no bearing on how this story plays out.
Like Magic, I will be trying to keep Shadows as accurate to the canon of the show as possible, while continuing to explore Starfall and Luna's relationship, along with some aspects of Starfall that were touched upon in Magic, but never fully explored.
As for the actual writing process...I have made a start on Shadows' Prologue, but it's a slow process so far. My writing muse is still having issues...and I have no ideas so far regarding cover art for the story, either.
But in any case, thought people, especially those coming from fanfiction.net, should know that I am not dead, even if "Memento Mori" is now on indefinite hiatus due to lack of inspiration. I am hoping to get the Prologue done within the next week or two, and hopefully from there I can start writing with more intensity and frequency. But I will not promise anything...my muse can be fickle at the best of times, sadly.
If I remember, I will post another blog entry in the future as the Prolgue makes more progress, with more information about what to expect from Shadows in the Past. In the meantime, take this little announcement, and hopefully hanging it in front of me will commit me to getting this done!

Sequel yay! you have made my day, er... night!
anyways to me shadows of the past sounds better than shadows in the past. I feel that the name flows better if you are going right from one story to the next and im sorry but when i read that tittal with 'in' well, in it it makes me think that the story will mainly be set in the past. with on, i feel like the story will be written in the 'present' but will touch on things from the past.
..... and the name shadows in the past makes me feel like i am reading another chapter of magic in the stars, not a sequel.
but listen this is just an opinion. if it offends you i am so sorry! regardless of whatever happens i will read the sequel!! *goes and hides under a table*
bah! i am no good at this. I like talking face to face/over the phone so much more than typing.
anyways thanks again for bringing magic in the stars over here as fanfiction was really starting to hurt my eyes......
