General Writing Shenanigans and a Question... · 10:04am Jun 24th, 2013
Heya to all my followers once again!
As promised, here's the update I said would be coming in the last chapter of Shadows. Speaking of that, my writing muse is struggling of late. Chapter 2 has yet to be even started, but I'm hoping to pull myself together in the next few days and make a start. Don't expect any miracles, though...and do not expect Chapter 2 until next weekend, if not later.
But enough of that, on to the thing I really wanted to discuss, which is my broader writing ambitions. To put it simply, I do not intend to continue writing fan fiction for the rest of my life, as fun as it is to dabble in various world, especially Equestria. One day, I hope to write a completely original piece of fiction...a fantasy tale entirely my own creation...and publish it for the wider world to see.
What I am curious to know is this: Would anyone here who has read and enjoyed my previous and current works, be in any way interested in buying and/or reading any novels I publish in future years? Would it depend on the genre, or the price...or are you content simply with my fan fictions?
Please do not misread this, I do not have a novel I am about to publish...I have not even started any works outside MLP fan fiction...though I have plenty of ideas. I am merely asking this out of simple curiosity, since my inquisitiveness is kinda a weak point of mine.
So, what are your thoughts on this? Feel free to reply in either a comment or a PM. I will also be setting up a poll on FanFiction.Net that poses the same question, so you can also make your decision via that method if you wish. If you do not want to answer, that's fine, too...like I said, this is simply me indulging my own curiosity.
In the meantime, I hope you're all not too impatient for the next chapter of Shadows, and I'll make every effort to get the next chapter going! Thanks again, guys!
Yay! I can't wait for the next chapter!
And to answer your question it would really depend, but since you've created such amazing stories I would give it a go! I can't seem to grasp the idea of you writing outside MLP but then again.. I kinda can. I am really content with the.. content you put out.. Lol. No not content. Excited! Happy! Oh and I wish you luck on your original piece of fiction.
(I was excited to see that it was you that posted this blog!)
