Yeah, I can tell that people were divided about the ending...well, actually NOT the ending. Still have two chapters left to go, but that was the climax. Everything else is just the aftermath. But let's talk about it...
Because of some of the comments I received over this, I'm going back to the original plan of posting the alternate, and orginal, ending to KOTD. It's exactly what you expected, where Twilight didn't turn evil and instead she came out of it alive and outside of Sombra's influence.
It will be posted, along with the two other chapters that would have followed, as soon as I'm finished with this version of the story.
I will have to say, now that I have foresight, I do regret deviating from the original plan and wished I had just made the happier ending canon and make the dark one the alternate version. So I'm going to be doing some stuff so it takes the form you want.
No! Please do not change the story, it is perfect the way it is!
You are probably going to get some backlash about this as well, but I for one
welcome our non-evil Twilight overlordam glad to see the original ending.how about including two versions labeled happy and evil ending. and leave it up to the reader to decide. so neither is given a title as "real ending"
in the end you pick one or don't. so you got three choices (outside the choices of not including both version, which would give you two more options, but those are not good options)

After some consideration, I'm going to label the current version the Alternate version, and write out what i had in mind and call it the original version and then finish out the planned resolution.

So, you're going to finish what you originally had in mind (the good story line) then go back to the dividing point and write an evil ending from there?
