The Last Leg of this Marathon · 6:38pm May 21st, 2013
15 chapters down, only three to go for KOTD. Yes, it is that close to being finished.
However, I would like to tell you something over here, since I've noticed TONS of comments praising me for the quick updates.
The last three chapters will take a bit longer to upload than the previous five or so. The reason for this is twofold. One, I'm actually exhausted from pumping out so many chapters so quick. I planned to stop after Queen of Shadows, but felt like I needed to get everything before the big showdown over with before I did anything.
The second is that I'm encountering a major part of the story that must be done right. I don't know how long the chapters will be, but they'll be at least 4,000 words long each. I hope.....
Now then, time to tackle another big issue.
As many of you heard last night, a tornado hit the town of Moore, Oklahoma and killed 51 people last time I looked, including AT LEAST 20 children. Believe it or not, I live in that state. Don't worry, I wasn't even close to being affected by the tornado(live in a small town south of Tulsa) but it was still one of the worst aftermaths to a storm I have ever seen. The pictures of the devastation were mindblowing, and the death toll is actually already worse than the infamous one in 1999, within the same area.
IMy thoughts and prayers go to those effected, and hopefully we can recover from this shortly.

That's a really scary coincidence, actually. After looking here, I checked out Bronystories' blog on the tornado, and he had a pic of the Storm Scanner plotting the path of it against the tornado of 1999.
That is a terrifyingly similar path. I really hope everyone recovers from this disaster, and I'm glad I live in a temperate city right next to the ocean. No chance of tornadoes here.
Wish everyone could be as lucky as me.
