    Update

So I've finished chapter 2 of The Misadventures of Filly Twilight and am just waiting for it to be proofread before posting it. Should be posted in two days at the latest. Have started on the third and final chapter of The First Night and have a general idea for the one after that, so hopefully will have two more post in the coming weeks.

So you don't have to comment, I'll do it for you :D

In response to CR's post about Meghan McCarthy, even though he said he was done with the show over a season ago, whatever.

-Even though I hated it, I will kinda give her Twilight going crazy over the friendship reports, but that problem really seems manufactured.

All the shows problems are manufactured, plus that episode was awesome and helped spawn this vid so shut it

-If Pinkie Pie thinks being told about how fun something was is just as good as being there, then why doesn’t she just ask what everyone did at the end of the day.
*Simple Fix: make it so Pinkie Pie what’s to throw multiple parties at the same time. (The electricity when out in Ponyville about 20 years ago and now there’s 17 birthdays in the same week and she doesn’t what to leave anyone out.) She can’t do it all her self. So she makes clones. Her motives seem vastly more noble and slightly more logical. Plus make them realize that the Pinkie that is sad because her friends are sad is the true friend.

Does the episode have its flaws? Yes, but that could be said about every episode. Your trying to say she doesn't behave rationally when it comes to hanging out with her friends, which judging by how she reacted in Party of One, that's par for the course. Sure it doesn't make logical sense, but not because it out of character. Pinkie took an unique and unexpected route to solving her problem, which is what she does every time she is faced with one. And for your solution, why wouldn't she have had that problem every year? Do they only celebrate their 20th birthday? And yes, we all have a slight problem with how it was wrapped up, but that is how the cookie crumbles when you have to be funny.

-The series literally started with Applejack in the middle of a sort of unofficial family union. I know they were working on the celebration but still they had to have had a little down time together. But by the time her episode shows up, she has no concept of what a social gathering is.
*Easy fix: Apple Jack gets frustrated over the natural short comings of a party. (Applebloom twists her ankle so she can’t enjoy any games. Some one loses their glasses so they can’t see. They run out of an ingredient for cooking.) Applejack is crushed that it wasn’t the best reunion. But then Granny Smith tells her about all the mishaps that always happen when people get together, and the point is to focus on the family.

That statement is pretty stupid. Sure she has been to family reunions before, but as a participant. Hosting one is a completely different story and I thought it was handled quite well and fit perfectly with Applejacks character of wanting to please everyone and shoulder the burden herself. Not an episode I plan to re-watch, but thats more with me finding Applejack as too level headed as a character, as i prefer the crazier ones, rather than an fault with the episode. Your solution is not needed as the episode is better than what you suggest.

-Make Spike Apple Jack’s servant and he’s super clumsy and annoying…just like he is…around Twilight? Next week Spike is super greedy again…so no code of ethics or what.

No comment...fuck this episode (<---completely bias statement, i really like spike)

-Let’s stick Fluttershy in a situation where she’s the most awkward. That always good for cheap material. Like the jousting match with RD. What was the point of that. They weren't flying. If RD wanted to put on a good show, she could have gotten Apple Jack, because it literally made a better show (Fall Weather).

Really? Your complaint is with sticking a character in a situation that they are not best suited to handle? WTF do you call any episode of any show ever? Their are plenty of valid complaints and worries about this episode. What will happen to Discord later in the show? Wasn't that conversion to good guy a little to fast? Did Discord need to be redeemed in the first place? There are tons of debatable topics and choices that you could choose to judge and rank this episodes merit on and each one just as unanswerable as the last as to whether is was a good or bad decision. But you pick that? That's just fucking stupid. Oh, and AJ was guarding the heart at the time, so should they have switched?

-The conflict in Crystal Kingdom is literally manufactured with Celeastia giving Twilight instructions counter to what she would normally do (ask her friends for help).

Umm...just no. She does say that this is a test, but not once says she has to do it alone. She even says that she will be meeting her friends and brother there. The premise that she has to do it alone is all in Twilights head and is a repeat of the Lesson Zero idea. The episodes are not her best work, but to make it seem like they are something that brings the series down is not at all true.

Problems are no longer organic, they are painfully force. And the characters that once had renascence are now so obnoxious, if I were in Ponyville, I would actively avoid them.
Plus every story to come out under her is basically a toy commercial or fan-fiction. She’s admitted she had problems coming up with ideas in the past and it’s painfully obvious. I bet she was relieved when the told her to make their characters human.
And if they were scraping the bottom of the barrel for 13 episodes, I’m not sticking around to see how bad it gets when they have to come up with 23. (You know they will eventually have to do a Rarity episode.)

Where does he get all this hate from? The characters have grown immensely (in children show standards, this isnt game of thrones) since the start, and in fact season three added the most continuity when it came to characters showing how they overcame problems. Twilight has breathing exercises, Rainbow Dash shows strength and vulnerability when she stands up for what she believes and turns down the wonder bolts. We see that Scootaloo isn't just the tomboy of the CMC but finally got her own episode to show her fears and worries. Season three was short, but I think showed the most promise in showing that the show wasn't done growing and still had many things to explore.

I just dont get how listing a bunch of episodes from season three is a testament to McCarthy as a writer considering she only wrote the first two. The episodes she has done are not my favorite, but they are not the worst in the shows history either. In fact, even the lowest rated ones are not bad, just bad by our high standards that the show has given us. No single author on the show is a detriment as they have all had very good and not so good episodes. In fact, all of them have at least avoided the dooms day prophecies that we had for them by being so well written. I hate the idea of Twilicorn, but gosh darn it that episode had cool plot and great songs. I'm more mad at it being too short rather than it being made at all. So saying one author is the worst because you have issues with episodes outside of season 1 is just a lot of hot air. In fact, two of episodes i recommend to people if they say they want to give it a watch but aren't really sure if they will like it are Party of One and Lesson Zero, cause like i said, I love me some crazy. Over all, Meghan is not my favorite writer, but if i was in charge, I wouldn't fire her either and look forward to what other episodes she brings (as long as its not about spike, lets leave that to the professionals <3 Corey).

Are you real? This is the absolute last thing IAH needs. His problem is that he has too much on his plate, and now you're just adding to it. What he needs is to spend time alone with God, not think more about how stupid the whole world is. :twilightangry2:

:facehoof:

:ajsleepy:

Look, I won't hold this against you, but please try to think about the person instead of what you think the problem is.

I'm feeling God's grace here particularly well at the moment, so have an awesome song:

What the hell did I do? He said he didn't want to comment on the CR post so I did. I'm not asking him to do a review of mine, I'd rather he not since he'll make mine look bad by comparison, I just did this so if anyone asks him about what CR posted, he can just link here and be done with it. I'm taking off his plate, not adding.

Alright... :fluttershyouch: I'm sorry for blowing up at you. I'm not going to justify why I did what I did here, and I won't argue against you. :ajsleepy:

Will you forgive me? :fluttershysad:

Sure, but only because I too <3 Math

I said it to IAH and I'll say it to you: Thank you so much for doing this. CR's attitude and behavior are unacceptable and the fandom is better off without him. Sometimes we really need to stand up to the jerks and assholes and say, "No, just because you're behind a keyboard does not mean that you can be a mean-spirited, demeaning prick." Again, thanks.
