Update on the Rewrite

Hello again, readers!

I was just in search of the Baron's first scene (using it as a reference to something), when I stumbled upon the comments I got on Ch. 13, and I thought to myself: "Gee, how can I just leave these guys hanging, especially in the middle of the action?"

So I tell you what:
I'm only going to rewrite chapters one through five, as those are the ones that really need it. The beginning. I'll also do some 'heavy editing' on six and review that others, but I'm not going to rewrite them, persay. What does this mean to you?

It means that Ch. 14 of Omega is that much closer.

I'm currently halfway through Ch. 2 (which is being split into two chapters, actually), which means that I'm almost done! I'm like... a third of the way there? And picking up speed too!
A quick thanks to Pitfall, who has become my second pre-reader and has been looking over the rewrites. Also big thanks to TheHarisayBrothers for their awesome reviews of my first few chapters. Those are a big help!

In other news: ever wonder what exciting new stuff the rewrites contain? I hope so, because I'm about to tell you.

The new Ch. 3 (second half of Ch. 2) will have an entirely new scene thrown in, featuring the Baron, which is just full of foreshadowing and a bunch of little hints on how life works in Inner Harmony City.
Ch. 2 and 3 are both being rewritten to emphasize the harshness of life in the Inner City, with new scenes featuring public executions, the hard choices the rebels must make, and the identities of the Baron's apparently pitiless guards. Also, I don't think Dissy will end up spending a year in Harmony City anymore; that's kind of long, and there's not enough content in those two chapters to span a whole year!
Ch. 1 has pretty much no plot differences, but I must say, it reads a lot better now!
Ch. 4 will probably be left mostly alone. That'll be a quick one!
With Ch. 5 and 6, I'm aiming for a better portrayal of Dissy's time with the Stygian Clan. I know that the time skip seems brushed over, and I want to fix that!
And most exciting of all...
I'm writing a short prelude, which will give you all a glimpse of Dissy's future! It's not finalized yet, but what I have right now really excites me!

Now that I think about it, these rewrites shouldn't take much long at all! I think I'll write and release the next three chapters along with them, as a neat little bonus.
