I came to a realisation today. I've reached that state of...obsession if you will, where I don't need the show to sustain my love of FiM. Don't get me wrong, I still love the show and I think it's the best thing ever, but it's actually been a while since I watched the show. I've built up a small collection of merchandise, that continues to grow, and I've read a lot of fanfics, and even written a few. I listen to a LOT of music from the fandom, and as such I don't really need the show to sustain my love.
I will always watch it, but I think I could live with it being cancelled or...Celestia forbid, replaced by........Equestria Girls. I felt bad just saying that.
I've reached that level where Trekkies who only watched the original series and still have the same level of love for their chosen media have reached.
It's an odd feeling.
As for a writing update I'm three chapters in to a five or six chapter Sparity fic. I was going to write some more of it recently but I found I had actually fallen out of touch with the characters and the story. Once I got over the crippling depression of that realisation I resolved to read the story and connect with it once again.
Still not gotten around to that but with how long it's taken me to get this thing written you can be sure it's going to be awesome.
An addendum: I just realised that Why The Puns now has more views than words...that's definitely an odd, yet amusing, thing.
Awesome, I think I realized that a little before I first started the second season I think and it did feel quite odd.
