Also I personally think that it would be better to put up chapters as you make them, that way you can receive feedback and criticisms to improve your story as you write your story. my only problem is that most of the inspiration for this fic left with my girlfriend of 4 years. i haven't had any drive to write it and have found a tallent for poetry.

I reckon you should do whatever the hell you want to. I've never seen poetry on here before, but that doesn't mean there shouldn't be. You might as well give it a go and see how it works out. Who knows, you might just start a new trend! That also means you should try submitting your fic for the same reason. At least have a shot at it.
39317 i am as of present writing a new one, and it's kinda out of ordinary as well. it's a lot less gory and much more emotion, and the character set is not normal at all.

the problem with poetry is that the story MUST be 1000 words or more, and poetry falls a tiny bit really far from that mark

You could try putting some author notes in, which would add quite a couple of words. Other than that, just write more perhaps. I'll come back to you on that one.
