How not to not announce sequels

Update: Now they've both brought back story tagging and added a sequel tagging system, so my advice here is back on for the most part, although it may be slightly out of date. Original post below the break:

I happen to feel strongly about this issue, so allow me to give a little tip/rant to any author who cares enough to read it:

    Liquefied barbecue lettuce

Sometimes I really hate some of the difficulties in the story-writing process. Bad writing can be overcome with practice, bad grammar with an editor, but what happens when I realize a massive hole in the plot of the story I'm working on which doesn't have any obvious fix? D:

Yeah, I seriously doubt I'll get any response here, with my complete lack of followers, but sometimes I just like to vent, lol. And if I actually do get a response that's even better. And why doesn't the smiley list appear for blog posts? :(

If this is still applicable, there's a new thread over at ponychan.net that specializes in plot holes. The thread is named Contradiction Catcher: Review thread 2.0 and is run by Minjask6572. Give it a shot if you feel inclined.

93309 That's worth remembering, when I get back to trying to write I'll definitely look at it. Thanks. :pinkiesad2:

As far as followers go, I'd suggest you review more, write interesting blogs, and go be abrasive at some stupid folk.

Reviewing more, particularly with concrit, will get your name out there, and indicate to others your willingness to socialize and share advice.

Writing interesting blogs... well, this one is simply an attention catcher. Most of my followers (few though they may be) seem to enjoy my blog posts, so I figure that an intriguing blog gains/keeps a follower's interest.

Being abrasive at stupid folk... uh... Pretty much self-explanatory. I've gotten a number of followers for being blunt, especially regarding the Ice incident. Just an attention-getter, once again.

I guess the biggest things are to get your name around by reviewing/commenting, and to be intriguing. Say intelligent things, make people want to find out more about you, and your upcoming story. *shrugs* Be yourself, I guess, but more outgoing.
