An Adventure in Blog Posting and Taking Responsibility

So I felt compelled to write...something.

I guess this past week has been a bit difficult for me as far as writing is concerned. I made the mistake of rushing through my latest chapter and then let the negative fallout affect me in a personal way. Now I realize that mistakes will be made and harsh words will always be exchanged, the difference is that I now know to not internalize it. They are only the hate filled words of some bile spewing asshole sitting behind a screen, and quite frankly are just as hollow as the one sending them.

Now some of the hate mail I received after the last chapter will not be shared. I deleted my inbox contents as I saw nothing productive coming from keeping such vile words. Sorry to those of you who wanted to see the contents of those messages. I just have little desire to revisit the subjects.

All in all I am saying that I made a mistake on multiple fronts. I let my excitement for my latest chapter blind me as to its flaws and shortcomings, then I allowed myself to cave in when I was bombarded by negativity. I shall not repeat the same mistake. I have spent this past week going through the previous chapters and making edits and patching up plot holes where I see them. National Holidays (Part 2) is next on the chopping block for edits, so that will be tackled tonight and tomorrow with a new chapter following after.
