Which character is the hardest for your to write faithfully? My answer will probably be the most common one, but it's also the absolute truth.
Zecora. God damnit how I wish I could rhyme better. I feel like I can portray her accurately, but if I can't whip up a convincing string of rhymes, there's just no point. It sucks too, because she's one of my favorite characters, and I'd love to be able to do more with her, but I'm not about to half-ass it just to scratch my itch.
Do you know I ahve the same problem with rhymes...I canĀ“t rhyme...and I hate that because of Zecora
Rarity. It's surprisingly hard to write her without making her sound like a bitch.

All of them
986752 You mean to tell me I been writing her wrong all this time?.....damn, oh well, I hate her anyway.
And Zecora is one but I have problems writing either Twilight for she needs to sound very smart and I'm an awful speller or Pinkie Pie because I'm so much of a serious writer that I can't do all that cheer she has, it annoys the buck out of me....still love them both though
Yeah, I've been fore-planning a lot of things for my in-developpement Fanfic.
And getting Zecora's repliques are one hell of a task.
You have to come with the idea of what you want her to say, then twist words around so they rhyme. Seeing that my english knowledge is somewhat limited, I have to agree that this is probably the hardest character of them all to get right.
As far as my story foreplanning goes, I don't normaly lay down character quotes, unless really important ones. However, I had to already lay down on paper the scenes where Zecora gets to speak, and have her dialogue already done. Took something like 15 minutes per quote.
Zecora might be easy to right for me, since I'm a rapper. (Trust me, I am NOT like the ones on the radio. I'm underground.)
as for other characters, Applejack. It's a little bit hard getting into her character for me.
Iron Will, for the same reason that Zecora's so tough to write dialogue for. Coming up with interesting catchphrases for that guy is annoying.
Kinda fun, though.
See for me rhyming is not a problem, my characters and dialog all just come across as flat.
Of Show characters, I'd have to say (from my limited experience) that the hardest for me to write is Celestia. Her character is kind of vague and there's not really a lot to go on, because she appears pretty rarely, and even then, she has very little personality outside of her generic regality. I have some idea of what she's like, but not enough to effectively write her.
If it is rhymes that you seek,
then rhymes you shall hear.
Hear all the rhymes that I speak,
poetry without fear.
If you desire, I shall cook up a brew,
and if the words that you speak are true,
then such a potion, in your quest, shall aid you.
No longer crippled by your impediment,
you may speak the rhymes the potion has lent.
Now be wise with your power,
lest your dialog turn sour.
I shall return upon the hour.
