I'm Back + What I've been scheming · 1:16pm Mar 30th, 2013
Well, more so, back to my normal behavior. I've been back from Vietnam for two weeks now, but I'm only now fully used to Canada time, Canada Food, and Canada Environment. I have a lot to tell you about the trip, but those blogs will come soon.
What this one is about is the 'Harmony Almanac'. So, I watched this amazing movie, Cloud Atlas, on the overnight plain back from Bangkok. I was deeply inspired by it, and so, in homage of that, I decided to write a story influenced by it's unique structuring.
The cloud atlas is a multi-arching movie which follows the lives of five strangers, scattered throughout time and place, and how through their actions, they change the outcome in the future.
The Harmony Almanac is no different. I have six characters, however.
Zerum, a griffon slave with no future. Hyperbole, a struggling writer with a dead-end career. Novus, an ambitious scholar with a taste for relics. Ember, a mare searching for her freedom. Twilight Sparkle, a princess confronted by her final hour. A wizened storyteller, retelling his years of youth, and the adventures he underwent.
The story is all about how their actions effect a single point in the future. Something called the Harmony revolution. Anyhow, I'm really, really, happy how this turned out, and this time, I've got a team working alongside me behind the scenes. WE're putting our heads together and helping each other out. Expect more stories written by the CMC on the horizon!
Anyhow, so all that I'm telling you comes to one point in my theses here. For the last four days, I've been trying to put the story out. I've been pulling it back again and again to hit prime time which is around 7 PM Toronto time. I had some cousins over yesterday (actually, they are still here), so I forgot to pull it back when it passed prim time. Long story short, it published at 2 AM in the morning, and I got no views. This made me sad.
But this is where you all come in, my faithful followers! Swing over and take a look. I assure you, though at first the story might seem confusing, it'll answer itself as it continues.
Glad to hear you're back writing, and I can't wait to read that once I get a moment.
(I know your pain as far as weird publishing times..) My story published at noon MST on a Monday.. Took me putting it on my fb to get any views..
Good to have you back, man.
958380 That's unfortunate.
I personally am excited to see what comes of this story, and how the population reacts to it. It could be a big hit.
Btw for those who picked up the CMC remark, I'll be posting a CMC production fairly in the coming weeks... Keep an eye out!

It ended up alright in the end. Someone added it to The Writer's Group at some point so I managed to get right around 200 views from that.
good to have you back dude :D I can't wait to get my hands on to read this story :3
