Updates, Why Am I Crying, Efforts to get to Equestria Daily, and Editor Wanted · 12:13pm Mar 26th, 2013
Hey there bronies of the world, welcome to another Rated update and man has it been one hell of a week.
Alright let's start with current stuff before getting onto the new stuff. So for the stories I got going already...
1. Derpyball
-Derpyball fans will be please to know that the next chapter is indeed almost complete and will hopefully be done this coming weekend and sent to editing around the same time. Those of you who have been waiting to see the catalyst of how Derpy becomes the "Crossed-Eyed Demon" of dodgeball will get the see such development come forth as the aftermath of Starfall's betrayal will be revealed.
2. Upon Wings of Sacrifice
-This chapter is 1/3 done and going very well, but expect this to be shorter chapter then most other UWOS chapters have been so far, but the next few ones will diffidently make up for that. Things are gonna get even worse for Dash as she has just started her jouney to revive Applejack from the dead, but will find herself in chaos, anarchy, and blood sports in her efforts to even get her first threshold done.
3. Palace Perils
-This chapter is ready to get started, in fact I'm going to be working on it today in a few hours as I type this. The problem with this idea was trying to balance out both Philomena's and Luna's efforts to ruin the reputation of each other before getting to the start of the grand finally. And if you thought turning the moon into a disco ball was over the top insane wackiness, you have yet to see anything for what I have planned.
Alright so we talked about my current fics, let's talk about my newest fic: Why Am I Crying?
I really honestly don't know what to say but thanks to all the readers for their love of the fic. Heck, it made it all the way to number two on feature list (Curse you xTSGx and your ability to make people laugh! One day tears of sorrow and us tragedy lovers will have our number one spot. One day...) and that's something I don't think even Treating Her Right managed to do. I think it only got up to number three or four. Also thank god for copy and paste otherwise I wouldn't be able to thank you all for the favs.
Anyway, I am starting on the next chapter for that fic today, which is Sweetie Belle's first chapter, and maybe it might get done this week, but I'm also focusing something else with this fic.
Since this really did so well, and a lot of people praise the originality that comes with it, I've decided to give my shot at sending this to Equestria Daily. Now before anybody starts a debate about the pre-readers, I would just like to say that I personally have nothing against them and I respect them greatly. I know people have their issues with the way they run things, I do too, but a good number of them are good people. If you don't like it you don't have to submit anything if you don't want. And while I'm sure that this fic can become popular on it's own without the aid of Equestria Daily, it's still a good chance to earn more readers and, let's face it, it's always cool to see your fic on the most popular MLP site in the fandom.
This isn't my first time trying to get something on the site. In fact, Broken Bond Palace Perils both managed to get on there. I've tried getting Upon Wings and Derpyball on, but that didn't work out due to the whole grammar issue I always seem to have. Currently, I'm trying to get Treating Her Right on the site (This is my third and final shot), but I also want to get Crying in there as well. I'll be having the first chapter looked over again, for sure, but if anybody can point out mistakes of any sort and either PM me or post them here on this blog post that would greatly appreciated.
Finally, the last of the news. My main editor, Clavier aka author of the hit fic Applejack Anonymous unfortunately has new duties he must attend to and as such will only be my editor for Derpyball. This leaves a few open positions for some of my other fics: Upon Wings of Sacrifice, Palace Perils, and Why Am I Crying. Now I have one of my current editors already replacing his position in Crying, but she always wants to do Upon Wings. To see if she can handle the task of three fanfics to edit (She's editing a fic that hasn't been put up yet) I'm gonna give her a shot at doing both fics to see if she has the time.
However, I still need a new editor for Palace Perils. If your interested in the job, please read the follow requirements below:
1. You must be a Grammar Nazi. I want people who are tough, cruel, and ready to rip a fic apart just to find the smallest mispronunciation or missing comma.
2. Must have editors experience.
3. You must read the fic. If you haven't read Palace Perils yet, please do so before requesting to be my editor.
4. Communication. I require constant communication with my editors so either through gmail or skype we will communicate.
