Well, that went quick...
Normally, in my experience, when I submit a story it takes anywhere from six to twenty-four hours for it to get approved. This time, it went up about a half-hour after I posted it. I am going to take that as a good thing.
Now, about the story itself: I am currently writing chapter four, which means that I'm pretty ahead on this one, so hopefully you'll see regular weekly updates on it through to the end. And the end is a ways off, by the way. This story is going to be the longest thing I've done (as I've said in other posts), and I'm hoping I can keep your attention for the duration. Time will tell, I suppose.
Now, on a totally different note: I log on, see a HUGE number of responses (thank you!), and...four down votes. That's easily the most down votes I've had that quickly. I understand that not everyone is going to like what I write. I don't like everything that my favorite writer's do, so why the heck should I think that people are going to like everything by someone like me? But, I am always curious as to WHY they down vote it.
So, if you happen to be reading this, and you down voted the story, please tell me why. I am VERY thick skinned and tend to not take anything personally. Again, I know that not everything is for everyone, but...I'm curious.
And with that, I hope you enjoy. This is going to be a very long, VERY bumpy ride. And I will say, it gets rough--very rough--before it's done, but I like me some happy endings, so keep that in mind.

Downvotes.... I generally don't downvote, if I don't like something I am far more likely to just stop reading it or post a comment and then stop reading it. I don't feel like they are at all constructive, a downvote does nothing to tell the author about what problems may exist and can only discourage them. I have probably, in all my time on fimfic only downvoted about 5 fics (after leaving comments).... and they were BAD!
910741 See, that's my line of thought. I read a lot of stories on this site, and if I don't like a story, I just...stop reading. I wonder what it is that causes someone to downvote. Part of me wonders if it is because this story is clop--and incestuous power-play clop at that--and they just don't like that kind of thing.
I sincerely doubt I get any downvoters commenting here, but I figured it was worth a shot to ask.

Well for me, if a story fails to add tags at the start or switch tags mid story its worthy of a downvote (most Aegis Shield stories... looking at that former Romance tag on What Princesses Need. As well as that new Romance tag on The Return of Princess Nightmare Moon.) or if something occurs that makes me quit the story in a rage.(not many of these just yet, only like. Two.) If I don't like the subject matter as advertised at the start, I just don't read it.
