A Writing Contest · 4:15pm Mar 11th, 2013
It's been over a year since I last took part in a writing contest. That's what I'm going to be doing this coming weekend, so if it seems like I'm not doing much on the writing front, well it just means that I'm probably not, (what can I say Heart of the Swarm comes out tomorrow). All kidding aside though, I am working on the sequel to Scion of Chaos, I have a few pages of point-form planning, and I'm pretty sure I have most of the first chapter prepared (idea-wise, in point-form, not actually written) and I will get to writing it after this contest.

Yeah, so I won't tell anyone what I'm gonna be writing about since it has to be anonymous while I'm writing, and I won't know what the prompt is until the day of, feel free to take part though, it's all in good fun. And as a fun fact: after reading 'The Sweetie Chronicles' and feeling super psyched about wanting to write, it was a writing contest that broke the proverbial ice and got me to make this account and actually start writing in last year's February write-off.

I'd say more like 6 1/2 hours, considering that it's 5:26 on my laptop as I type these words. What's your preferred race? I'm shaky between Terran n' Protoss, though that's only against the AI. For multiplayer, I'm definitely better with Protoss.
EDIT: Come to think of it, I've seen a comic on EQD that dealt with the CMC and StarCraft 2. Can't remember who got which Cutie Mark, though.

I haven't played the game in about 9 months or so, in fact I just re-downloaded the game into the new account. I use sleepingsilentbelle@gmail.com, and my profile name is SilentBelle. I used to be able to play at platinum level, but I believe my skills have fallen to an all-time low, heh. I think I'm gonna spend this time doing some more writing though... I feel like I should get a good head-start on the sequel. Feel free to add me, though, I'm sure I'll be on quite often over the next week or so.

Yeah, I'm going to be on myself when I get HotS, hopefully tomorrow. You don't need to feel threatened by your skill level if you face me, and if you'd like, we could play Co-op against the AI a few times so you can get your bearings. You don't want to rush headlong into HotS and be beaten on Normal Difficulty, do you?
PS: Oh yeah, and we can talk about what you'd like in the sequel, too!
910200 Well, I'm probably sitting at a solid gold play-level right now, I used to be platinum. And I plan on going through the campaign on hard. I just start feeling over-anxious when I play 1v1 games. I don't mind 2v2 or larger games.

If you're starting out on hard, then you're probably better than me. I'm actually just now opening up SC2 to find that there's ANOTHER optimization process going on, like patches 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 within weeks of each other isn't enough. Say, do you live in California? Based on your time zone, you're definitely on the West Coast.
910263 Hmm, I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Central timezone. I'm pretty sure that they let you play only when it gets to 12:00 on the west coast.
