    Back in Brown

Nope, I ain't dead yet! now, good news and bad news.

The good news is that I'm back into the WWI groove. As most of my stories involve WWI aviation, this is pretty good. What's more, this is because of a trip I took to the old Rhinebeck Aerodrome today. for 75 bucks I went on a biplane ride over the Hudson valley.

I'm at a Fork in the Road

So, I've been talking about writing a story. In it, a guy obsessed with World war I aviation is tasked by Celestia to start an actual aviation unit. It takes place between Canterlot and Ponyville, and has eight little arcs planned.

Then I came up with a different idea.

    I'm Returning from Space

Yep, after a lovely trip into orbit and back, I'm finally dedicating myself more to classic WWI aviation. Progress on To the Sky will continue at an increased rate and I'll watch more Rise of Flight videos and listen to WWI songs.
It's all about getting in the mood over here at Turdy1 Productions.

    Still in Space

KSP is kinda addicting, once you set some goals. At the moment, I've launched 39 missions, sent 12 Kerbals into space, and have planned out a total of 62 missions.
Also, the next update is giving us Science stuff, so all Mun missions will be on hold after the next one. Meaning after a few orbital "Gemstone" missions, I can get back to writing.

    brb, In Space

So, I got Kerbal Space program yesterday.
I don't expect much progress on anything else. For at least a few weeks.
On the plus side, I've got six probes in orbit around Kerbin, and I'm finishing development on a manned orbital mission.
But nag me enough, and I'll get back to fanfics, I promise.

I return to an old aviation favorite · 7:22am Feb 27th, 2013

My very first fanfic was a Nazi Zombie fic that involved the pilot of an F-104 Starfighter. The story eventually gained a sequel, as well as plans for other stories extending into all Black Ops's maps. Sadly, my interest in the Starfighter waned over time and progress on the story slowed, though there were many other reasons as well. The biggest was because of how much the plot of the game itself ended up changing a lot. I recently figured out that two maps take place at the same time, something I had never realized at first. This has pretty much doomed that series to be on permanent hiatus unless I can think of a way to fix it.

Anyway, back to the Starfighter. recently I've developed a thing for Cold War Interceptors. This drew me back to the Starfighter. While contemplating how to resurrect that other series, I saw the newest trailer for Double Rainboom. Somehow, I ended up making connections with V-Pony's Blue Angel, and to a lesser extent AdmiralTigerclaw's Higher Flier. I looked at my Lego model of the Starfighter and the wheels began to turn. Somehow, they ended up with a fanfic that has little to nothing to do with anything from either of those three sources. So, I'm announcing the planning of another fanfic which, In all honesty, may never be bothered with:
Name: Chase the Rainbow
Plot: While on a flight over Colorado, an F-104 pilot is told to intercept a small object at trans-sonic speeds. All he comes across is a rainbow-like vapor trail. Over the course of the next few weeks, the object continues to appear. It's written off as a nuisance, but the pilot becomes determined to take it down, pushing both him and the object to their very limits. All the while, his fellow pilots begin to question his sanity, especially after claiming the object almost looked like a horse.

Of course, I have the slight problem of not knowing how the hell the whole thing will end, but I'll cross and burn that bridge when I get to it.

I feel it would be safer to burn the bridge first and cross over the river via aircraft.

I figured out how it will end. Now the pilot just needs a name.
