    Not Dead Yet

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Oh, wait, no one's even been talking about me? Well, fine. But the good news is I am alive and well, and I'm actively working on some horse words for general consumption. Unlike my usual creative process where I come up with an idea, briefly jot it down in one of a number of locations and then forget about it, I am presently writing a story

    Some Updates and Non-pony-related Things

I suppose it's been a while since I changed any kind of status here, so I've got an overall update for those of you people interested.

Happy Year-ending Holidays, and a preview of something new.

It's been a long time since I did a blog, so I figure I should re-introduce myself to anyone new. If you already know all about me that you care to know, go ahead and skip down a couple paragraphs. Before you do that, however, have a belated happy Christmas you pagan ritualists, and if you celebrate anything else during the year-turn, I hope you enjoy that as well.

Sac Brony Expo: On Writing Panel

So, I recorded the recent panel that I participated in over Skype with Shortskirtsandexplosions, Pilate, Chromosome, Mist Twister and Propmaster. The panel was fun, and apart from the technical issues seemed to go pretty smoothly. I was going to put it up on youtube, but for whatever reason the video got stuck in the processing stage, and never made it up, so instead I'll use my soundcloud since

Some content from this random guy you're following · 7:10am Feb 13th, 2013

I feel confident in making the claim that everyone who is following me is doing so either because of The Secret Life of Big Macintosh, the SATGF collaboration I hosted, or because they know me as a member of said group. I figure I should reward your mouseclick on that weird-looking eye with something, so I'm going to release everything I do end up creating on here. So without further ado, I present the teaser for a project I've been looking forward to doing for a while.

In addition to readings of The End of Ponies, I will also be posting a bit of my contribution to the epic in the form of a small side story. More details on that as it gets closer to being presentable. Thanks for following me, and I hope you enjoy what I've got.

I can proudly say I follow you for none of those reasons! ^_^ (but instead for your awesomeness as an EoP editor and the last audiobook project)

Much love, except that I've been working on the same thing =( First chapter almost done here. Meh, I suppose more than one project can't hurt, and honestly I'm just glad it's finally being done, plus your voice is smexy =)

Also excited to hear another side story coming along! Is this connected like Red Wings or standalone?

A combination of (mostly) my own inactivity/slow pace and some problems with contacting some of the voice cast, as well as my inability to confidently deliver directing advice to anyone other than myself pretty much killed that edition of the project. Not too much has changed on my end, hence the nice and distant projected date of March 1st for release of chapter one. Of course, with any project the size of EoP it's hard to even imagine tackling the entire thing, which, however unrealistic, is the eventual goal. Good luck on your project too, and I look forward to hearing it.

As for the side story, it's a canon contribution that expands on something originally mentioned in both versions of the Petra arc. Until I actually have stuff to run by the editing crew of the SATGF, though, that's all I'm going to say on it.

I understood the reasons for the death of that project. Something of that size, and with that number of people to manage, is daunting to even imagine. I followed that same lesson for my own attempt: rather than trying to include people, I knew the only person I could reliably manage was myself. Even so, I really am glad you put all the work you did into it, even if that particular project shut down. Likewise, I enjoyed listening to the preview you had up there, and in all honestly you have a much better voice than mine haha...

Figured you probably didn't want too say much on it, but that's all I wanted to hear anyways. EoP and Red Wings are really the only stories I track anymore (besides a few one shots), and so I'll be sure to add that to my list as well once it gets moving. Best of luck with it all!

Heh, I was also working on a reading of EoP, 'cause I figured that no one else would and I thought it really deserved it, but I stopped once I found out that there was a more "professional" reading in the works, IE, a project with more than one person reading it.
