    Not Dead Yet

Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated. Oh, wait, no one's even been talking about me? Well, fine. But the good news is I am alive and well, and I'm actively working on some horse words for general consumption. Unlike my usual creative process where I come up with an idea, briefly jot it down in one of a number of locations and then forget about it, I am presently writing a story

    Some Updates and Non-pony-related Things

I suppose it's been a while since I changed any kind of status here, so I've got an overall update for those of you people interested.

Happy Year-ending Holidays, and a preview of something new.

It's been a long time since I did a blog, so I figure I should re-introduce myself to anyone new. If you already know all about me that you care to know, go ahead and skip down a couple paragraphs. Before you do that, however, have a belated happy Christmas you pagan ritualists, and if you celebrate anything else during the year-turn, I hope you enjoy that as well.

Sac Brony Expo: On Writing Panel

So, I recorded the recent panel that I participated in over Skype with Shortskirtsandexplosions, Pilate, Chromosome, Mist Twister and Propmaster. The panel was fun, and apart from the technical issues seemed to go pretty smoothly. I was going to put it up on youtube, but for whatever reason the video got stuck in the processing stage, and never made it up, so instead I'll use my soundcloud since

Happy Year-ending Holidays, and a preview of something new. · 8:23pm Dec 27th, 2013

I'm Warden, editor, writer, and video game player extraordinaire. I started on fimfic just to keep up a consistent means of communication between myself and the other SATGF founding members, after joining Shortskirtsandexplosions' editing circle for The End of Ponies on ponychan. Generally I don't write much of my own, especially not fanfiction. I have to do completely original stuff for my minor in creative writing, and most of those short stories rely on their own systems, and wouldn't translate well into direct fimfic portation. (Like a story about a free-diver who drowns in the antarctic.) But enough about what I don't do.

What pony stuff I mostly do at this point is edit the work of my friends in the SATGF and very rarely I do an audio recording of a fic. (One of my longtime ongoing projects is getting an audio of SS&E's End of Ponies, but I may actually just leave that to Prismic who seems to be doing a bang-up job. Check him out if you're interested. Apart from that, I'm pretty much uninvolved with the whole brony sphere, so don't be surprised if I'm completely ignorant of eveything that's happened since summer 2012. I still keep up with episodes, but only on a belated basis when I'm bored and they're still readily accessible.

I've got one story I'm working on that seems to be working out fairly well: a dark horror story about the origin of the Golden Oaks library and the reason it was empty when Twilight moved in. I likely won't finish it for a few weeks at the earliest, and a few months at the latest, but I've got all my important details sorted out and I think it's coming across pretty terrifyingly. But, along those lines, I want to share a couple lines of the story with you all. You know, hype it up well before anyone's going to see it, just to get it canceled or delayed in the distant future. Sort of like what every video game company has been doing in recent years.

The Rain completely soaked Folded Corner in the short time it took for him to transition from the carriage to the doorway. With a flash of his horn, he bypassed his protective wards and opened the door. He reached inside and withdrew the umbrella hanging from its hook next to the door.
"Once more into the breach," he muttered. "Why can't the weather ponies ever give us some warning when there needs to be a storm like this."

Well, that's about the gist of me. A couple things I would add, are that I also do editing/reviews of stories by request as a paid or bartered service. If you want more details on that, just shoot me a line via PM here on fimfic. And, if you just want to game with me, or hang out, I can be reached fairly easily on Steam under the name Warden. (The one with a pony avatar.) Feel free to hit me up there, or to deride my clear lack of conversational skills in the comments here.
