I'm not in the right frame of mind to post calmly and rationally, but that thing that I keep promising will eventually show up?

Yeah. Eventually.

I'm not sure it's wise to say exactly what's happened, but the story is still viable. I still have opportunities and I still intend to pursue this, but there's been another setback. And not a minor one.

I officially disavow any promises I'd made previously about the timeline for posting this thing and refuse to make any further promises. Clearly, I have no idea what I'm doing and can't be trusted to represent things accurately.

I'll see if I can't post some other things this month and next month to keep folks placated and to remind myself that it's possible to finish a project. In fact, maybe it's better if everyone just forgets about this thing entirely. That way, when I finally post the first chapter in 2017 (not a promise), it'll be a pleasant surprise instead of a huge letdown for something that took so long.
