As a result of people being paranoid and rather petty we have this...
This is sad on so many levels. Just from looking at it you can clearly see some of the weakest points of Shipping. Shall we get started?
Soarin' and Rainbow Dash, perfect for those who are desperate to prove she isn't a lesbian. This is probably one of the most forced shipping's in the fandom, but not the most, that comes later. The thing here is that Rainbow Dash looks at the Wonderbolts as idols and has never expressed any interest in the romantically. It would be like you and your favourite celebrity, sure you look up to them but you just wouldn't consider being in a relationship with them. Everything about this ship is just a way of people seem to feel uncomfortable around gay couples.
The Doctor and Twilight. Why? There's nothing wrong with it until you realise why they did it. This was basically a way to get all the Mane 6 in straight couples, and if that meant shipping the Doctor with someone other than Derpy then so be it. The mere inclusion of this ship serves no purpose other than to keep Pinkies's other mares hooves off of her. It really does detract from the ship, which in itself in okay once you get past the obsessive need to outshine one another.
Pinkie and that guy. Okay, once again, desperation. I have nothing more to say.
Braeburn and Rarity, because fuck logic. If I wanted to have a ship that had no substance and made next to no sense then I would have chosen Rainbowmac, we didn't need another useless couple that only adds to the desperation some of these guys are going to in order to keep them straight. I'm sure Applejack would not approve.
Speaking of Applejack, next is her and Caramel. Yet another freaking forced couple that has no basis nor any reason. Caramel is a background pony, any given characteristics given are fan made. Caramel is one of those few background ponies that has been given no significant traits, making him a boring and bland choice for any pairing. Sticking him with Applejack for the sake of a straight couple...
And now we reach the Anti Christ end. Fluttermac, from the deepest pits of hell did it crawl from, brining with it one of the WORST couples to ever be shipped together. This is probably one of the most heavily over hyped ship that has nothing to draw upon. I mean seriously, they barley get featured in the same long shot enough. A couple so dreary that a date between them would consist of absolute silence and crying. I pairing so stupid they literally lower the IQ values of their readers. A relationship so forced they were literally put together because they are both a bit shy.
Need I say more?
This pretty much states everything I have grown to detest about the shipping community, the fact that some people are just too uncomfortable around couples that aren't straight they go and create their own, except with absolutely no idea what they're doing.
As much as I agree with pretty much all of this, there's one particular thing that makes me
about that picture.

But seriously, there are plenty of ships within just the 6 that could logically work, and if written well enough, I can accept them. Though shipping has never been something I was interested in terribly. Stuff like AppleDash or Rarishy I can see, maybe even Twishy, since Twilight seems like she'd be the most patient with Flutters. RainbowPie probably works to some extent too since they like pranking and having fun, but I couldn't see Pinkie hooking up with anyone else. She's too unpredictable, and honestly can be kind of annoying to some extent. But some folks gotta have their fantasy.
I'm sad to say, I only ones I don't agree with are Pinkie and that guy, and Rarity and Braeburn

786148 The Doctor was never made for the pony universe, his physical form altered to fit the code for that particular reality. Unfortunately it can't really make up it's mind and often gives him wings without removing the Earth Pony attributes rendering the wings useless. It's a kind of Auto correct, but the kind that keeps working when you don't want it to and often gets the word wrong.

Funny enough, eventually I have a story planned out (won't even be started for a long while) that will involve one of said ships up there, but... not REALLY shipping. It's too complicated and revealing to go into any real detail here, heh. Poor Flutters will be upset though. But, y'know, what can you do?

Well, a) not going to be a clopfic b) there will be other ships during the fic, but there will end up being a LOT of conflict. If I do it right, things should be explained near the end. Really, I'm just like, it's fanon. So people can ship whatever they want. I don't often read romance or shipping stories (unless it's comedic), and it seems a bit um... how do I say it?
Okay, I'll just lay down my views on any and every ship: It's fine. Some are odd, but this is "art" (purely by a technical cultural definition), so you have to be outgoing. If people stick within certain parameters or confines, NOTHING changes for better or for worse. You need creative and daring ideas and people, otherwise nothing happens. Yeah, a lot of them will be probably be terrible, but if given constructive criticism and/or the right creative mind, one of those ships could actually become quite popular, in a good way. And characters don't HAVE to be lesbian, they don't HAVE to be with certain ponies, because it's fanon. Each fan has their own interpretation of things.
I guess what I'm trying to say, is that I personally just don't care what couples people ship. It's not going to affect me, and it's fanon, so people can do whatever they want.

You just earned yourself a follow right there. I agree with you and its nice to see a shipper who has a brain to back themselves up. And boy its hard to find people who I want to follow these days... Sorry I didn't get on board earlier... but I think/hope it will be worth finding your page now.
In regards to Flutterdash... their two lifestyles just fit together... no forcing anything or requiring either pony to change. Plus they complement each others weak spots and there is heaps of stuff on the show to support them.
Your two most disliked ships are also mine... I like the sound of that.
And such idiotic shipping is why i usually just sit in my little corner and put ponies together who work.
Although I personally can only see Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash working with each other... but I seem to be one of the few who are that extreme.
