    50 weeks? Pft.

    It's not like it's been a while. Y'know, a long while. Almost a year.Please don't kill me.

Not gonna lie, work on LtE has been slow. Hum, stopped-slow. Between college and other (non-literary) projects I've got going on, it got sort of out of hand. Not just that, but I was having the hardest time figuring out how to write this one next chapter.

    They say...

...that you would do good remembering the events of previous chapters for what's about to take place.

    If this goes wrong

I just want to say I will not be held responsible. c:

And ironically the description cut off the word 'right'. Great omen right there.

    Aaaaaaand rejected

Not surprised, honestly, but yeah, EqD replied during the night and it's been rejected again for another obscene number of reasons, the largest of which being what they call an 'overused crossover mechanism'.

I'm going to paste this, so if you want to tl;dr and not read, you can go ahead.

Five bits say you've barely noticed this character in LtE · 8:36pm Feb 1st, 2013

Yeah, I did just make a blog post for this. Eheheheh.

But yeah, I needed a real reference for Olivia, so I took the next best step and did a big image for it, along with a description that I will supply below.

“But as long as I understand what the words mean, then you, too, will understand. Words are just… ways… of expressing concepts. Ours will be a unified language. It’s like sharing… feelings. Changelings… have those…”

One of the characters in A Link to Equestria that you will probably notice the least, as you most likely did with Navi and, to a lesser extent, Tatl. Olivia is a changeling fairy, which aside from a generic mixture is a kind of fairy that also exists in Hyrule (most fairies that can change color have some of those abilities in them).

In the story, Olivia is supposed to represent a disappointment waiting to happen. Though she can change her overall aspect to that of another fairy (say, a healing fairy, or Navi even), she can never be Navi, which is who Link really wants. She was responsible for dragging him into Equestria, so she sticks to him. She is also responsible for Link's ability to understand the equestrian language (he still can't talk to them unless he does it through Olivia). She is also his fairy companion there.

Just like a regular changeling, she feeds off of positive emotions.

YES I DID JUST SNEAK A FRINGE REFERENCE IN HERE

Welp, back to work.

Honestly, you do her very well. She's one of, if not is, my favorite characters in the story. Wish she got more screen time, and more one-on-one with other characters.

783189 Guess I owe you five bits, then. But yes, I really should give her more screen time. Trying to change that in the next chapter.

783907 Not going to lie though, I saw her as more of a cross between that, and a tinkerbell looking fairy (think human body, but no real discernible features, and more of a glow.

I'll be collecting my five bits now.
Yeoman, out

784848 My less than stellar art skills may be to blame for the lack of complexity in her body xD
