There's something that has recently come up in the show...

...and I just can't wrap my head around it. It's driving me to distraction.

I'm talking about the fact that the Crystal Empire is so close to Ponyville that the train ride there and back takes less than an afternoon. It's two completely separate biomes, fer Celestia's sake! They'd be thousands of kilometers apart on an Earth-scale and type planet.

...What else would I have been foaming at the brain about? Oh, that. Nah, I'm cool with that. I mean, come on. We're talking arctic and subtropical landscape next to each other, here. What is this, Minecraft?

For a moment there I thought you were going to rant or at least talk about Alicorn Twilight Sparkle. More than 5 of the authors I follow had blog posts about that. And it's driving people crazy or something of the like.
As for the train--um magic?

Windigo Twilight is cooler. Yeah.

Of course the show is like Minecraft, with the ores and random villages and mobs appearing at night and the sudden biome shifts and underground mazes and the day and night cycles being in someone's control.

Honestly, though, the time frame was really weird.
