...and doesn't ask me later, I'm ignoring Alicorn Twilight, or Princess Sparkle, or whatev you'd like to call her as far as A Canterlot Courtship goes. Mind you I'm not all butthurt about the idea or anything (even though it's not a plot development I would write myself. But then, I'm a lowly fanfic nerd, and they all get paid by a massive evil toy empire to write.) But I'm reserving judgment until I see how the show plays it.
And for anyone who's wondering, Chapter Five is still being written. No idea on a post date yet, but I think I'm taking a week's vacation in about three weeks, so if we're all good boys and girls? Maybe.
I was curious about your stance on this. Personally, I'm glad to hear you're sticking to the original plan, not to mention the good news that the story hasn't been abandoned.

Oh, definitely not abandoned! I've had a bit more work-related turmoil eating up my time lately, and also I've had some issues with future plot developments (not in the forthcoming chapter, per se, but in the chapter to follow, which I needed to know for the next chapter in order to be ready for them, if that makes any kind of sense!) but I think they've been resolved. I've had to scrap and re-write a few dead ends, but the latest direction seems to be working. Now it's just a matter of having the time to work on it, and progress is being made. I'm not a quick worker in the best of times, to be honest, I tend to fret and worry over every little line I write- It's just how I am, I suppose.
