Sleepless in Philomena

I had something resembling a decent sleep schedule going for a couple of weeks. It was a valiant effort. Truly, it was. But here we are - or I am - at nearly four in the morning with naught but the sound of keystrokes and pen drops to keep the quiet away.

I'm not actually using a pen. I don't like how they feel. But, "keystrokes" is two syllables and "pencil" is already two without a verb implication and I wanted to keep things even.

There's not much else to be said here. Oh, I lied. I've been replaying Final Fantasy X this week (oh look, found the cause of my insomnia!) and I've noticed some pretty harsh tones in the game I didn't catch the first time around. As a whole, it seems to carry a very anti-religious theme. If you're familiar with the plot and the truth behind Yevon, I'm sure you understand what I mean. Couple that with one character's rampant and open hatred of the race of non-believers, along with their near global persecution, and you have a recipe for pissing off somebody, somewhere. If you're not familiar, I don't do spoilers so it's up to you to find out! Ha.

And not that it's terribly relevant, but I think I've figured out how to reconcile the latest Discord episode with my head canon surrounding my not quite stillborn story, In the Mind of Chaos. There's a plan now, which is more than I've had for a long time. Whether it goes anywhere is anyone's guess.
