New Story Idea and AFBS! · 4:53am Jan 28th, 2013
AFBS - A Few Bits Short, easier to abbreviate. Anyway, the next chapter is coming along, should be out sometime soon (this week hopefully) but I wanted to ask you guys which you'd prefer: Somewhat less infrequent updates, but longer chapters (around 3k words) or perhaps more frequent updates, but shorter chapters (1.5-2k words)? I ask because as of now I try to aim for at least 3k words before I call it a chapter, but the enormity of that some times makes it hard to get started or keep rolling, thus leading to the longer time between updates. If I relax it a bit and allow for chapters to be shorter, it might be easier for me to get them out in a more timely matter. Up to you guys, I'll abide by whatever you decide.
In other news, I had a new idea for a story, and started fleshing it out a little. It'll be a Sad/Tragedy tag involving Twilight, Spike, and Rarity primarily. Would any of you be interested in a fic like that? Don't want to give away too many details obviously. You'll hear more about it should I decide to start developing it. I won't let it get in the way of AFBS though, I'll try to finish that first before I start another.
I must confess that trag/sad I don't tend to read but that's just me. As for chapter length I hate to say this but "Do what works for you." If you'll be happier doing shorter more frequent chapters because you have trouble getting 3k words out then go for that. If it's gonna keep you up at night doing chapters that are less than 3k then don't. I personally don't care either way. Long as I get to keep reading I'm happy
