Why hello there everypony. It's been a couple weeks since my last update. Keen eyes may have noticed that A Few Bits Short has some fancy coverart now! If not, check it:
Hello everypony,
I'm sure you are all eagerly awaiting the next (and I think final) installment of A Few Bits Short. I don't like keeping ponies in the dark, so thought I would let you all know what's up.
Short version: I haven't started it yet, and it may take a while longer.
Longer version:
Hey everyone. I think about two weeks ago I told you it'd be about two weeks for chapter 5 of A Few Bits Short. What have you all been doing in preparation?
That's my best guess. Fear not! I'm going to have chapter 5 done by the end of this weekend for you guys. Just hold on a little longer!

AFBS - A Few Bits Short, easier to abbreviate. Anyway, the next chapter is coming along, should be out sometime soon (this week hopefully) but I wanted to ask you guys which you'd prefer: Somewhat less infrequent updates, but longer chapters (around 3k words) or perhaps more frequent updates, but shorter chapters (1.5-2k words)? I ask because as of now I try to aim for at least 3k words before I call it a chapter, but the enormity of that some times makes it hard to get started or keep rolling,
Hey my few dedicated readers: Didn't want to leave you guys in the dark regarding this. I can tell you that it definitely won't be another 4 months before the next chapter comes out, but I will say that it might be a while. I've had a bit of trouble generating new ideas and probably need to just sit down and brainstorm the rest of the story out so I don't run into this problem again. In any case, I also don't want to ramble. Just wanted to keep you guys updated.
Just a quick post here to let the couple people who have asked about 'A Few Bits Short' know that I am picking it back up and will be posting a new chapter soon. Just for you, a very brief sneak peek.
"The stain.
This stupid, stubborn, seemingly now malevolent stain.
It was the bane of her existence.
It was, or had been, a pot used to make soup. Under Rarity's scouring steel wool and attention to detail it was spotless. Save for one. Burnt. Stain."
